Got an update for yall.
Haven't looked at roots in a while so I did and took pics.
Has anyone ever saw the roots get dyed from the color of nutes?
It is only on the roots that are not submerged.
Hasn't seemed to effect growth at all.
Bud sites are developing great and seeing more calyxes pop up everyday.
Also found these electric eye stove liners, will work perfect for CFL reflectors!
2 bucks for a 12 pack.
The pics are back plant, then front plant. roots, side, top, main colas.

@budnugbong: nah that's perlite that fell through the holes in the plant baskets.

Did some pruning for the first time. Only took dead and useless leaves.
Cleared up a lot of airway for the ladies.
Took some pics of the main stalks. They are pretty thick.
Im diggin it.
The bud sites are developing more each day.
Overall it's all coming along very nicely.

Oh and pic 4 is not the main stem, it's just a side shoot!
You can see the cola to the left.

a quick question from a newb that can't find the answer, but with a bubble grow, do you keep the water on all the time?

Keep the water on all the time?
If you mean the bubbles, then yes.
I keep my airpumps on at all times.
I don't use any water pumps. Just air

do ya p.h ya nute mix or just leave it coz i just started 1 off with normal plant nutes and cant keep the p.h at 5.5 n she not lookin 2 healthy thanx for any advice

@Budbrain: I check ph of the res almost daily.
Especially when I'm adding water or nutes.
I ph the water I'm adding before I put it in the res.
For the nutes, I add all the nutes Im feeding at that time, to 1 gal of water.
Mix good and check ph before I put it in the res.
I try to keep mine around 6.

How old is your baby, are you sure it's old enough to be receiving nutes?
I didn't feed anything but water to my babies until they were like 3 weeks old.
And then, that was still only like 1/8th strength.

how much of the miracle grow are you using for veg and for blooming ?

@lowride: I use Miracle grow- All purpose plant food. 24-8-16 for veg.
For flowering, I have been using Miracle grow- Bloom Booster 15-30-15
They come with a spoon inside. I use the small side(half a teaspoon) per gallon.
I consider the 1/2 tsp per gallon full strength. Sometimes I put in one extra scoop .
I'm sure they could handle more, but I don't have a PPM reader :clap:

Oh and make sure you get the water soluble miracle grow, it'll say on the front.
So to break it down
Seedlings/rooting clones: No food
After 3rd or 4th true node: 1/2 teaspoon for every 4 gallon
2 weeks later: 1/2 teaspoon for every 2 gallons.
Whenever you feel it can handle more: 1/2 tsp for ever gallon.
If your plants seem like they are wanting more go ahead and give it a shot.
Each plant and strain is different.
These are just what I go by, seems like my plants like it.

I was lookin' at the MG nutes this morning while I was out getting AC-Edison adapters for my lighting fixture.

Seems like you have a very similar grow to what I am considering experimenting with.

Where can I get some good airstones?

@D.tea: I got all my airstones from walmart.
I'm sure there are probably better ones, but they all do the same thing.
Mine are the 14" block ones, I like em because they don't float like some say theirs do.
I think it's because it pushes itself down.

hey pwizzle she nearly 2 weeks old now but at the end of week 1 her roots were hittin the water nicely n she started goin a really light green so i figured it was time for nutes n now she still lookin light n the leaf tips are curling down so i mite back off n give her just water phd t 6. will get sum pics up asap

Thanks man, How much noise does your grow make, cause I like to sleep sometimes and my ladies sleep in the same room as I do.

@D.tea: Well, I could sleep through it. But I also sleep with the tv and radio on lol
The worst part is the pumps. Especially if they start touching the res or the wall,
then it's annoyingly loud. goes from a purrrrrrrrrrr to a BEEEEGGGHHHHHHHHH
But you could wrap the pumps with some foam or something to muffle the vibrations
and it would dampen the sound significantly.
Just make sure you dont suffocate the air intake.
If anything you'll get used to the sound and eventually tune it out.

pwizzle, I commend your grow and I am not knocking you at all but I have done MG grows vs. GH Flora grows and the bud density is night and day. I would reccomend spending the $30 next time on proper nutes and you will see but nonetheless awesome job!!!!

I hear ya man, just didn't have access to any other nutes. Not a dro shop for hours, and can't get from online.
If I could get any type of proper nutes trust me I would lol
