~300w CFL Closet Grow-newbs who need help!

My room is already passively air conditioned, I keep the bedroom at around 66 which keeps the growing area in the mid 70's, except on 90+ days where the ac can't hack it. Temps creep a little on those days but not much. I will talk to my fiancé about an HID system. I might consider getting a 70 or 150 watt hps to use with my current setup for flowering instead of more cfl's. I've seen 70 watt hps for about $45. Would something that small make that much of a difference?

And yes, I trimmed some of the bigger fan leaves off two of them, and only the ones that had been burnt by nutes. Took my PH again today, average of 6.5 between the pots. Didn't need to use the coffee. Good thing too, because they are already overwatered to begin with. Is it normal to show signs of overwatering after every watering? Between watering my plants tend to flatten out and the ridges on the leaves dissapper. Then after watering it's right back to wrinkly and droopy. Should I wait extra long before my next watering?

Decided to play God and change the season last night. Today is the first full day flowering! Noticed some stretching already! Woke myself up to check that they didn't grow into the bulbs, 20 minutes after "dawn" with no alarm! I got impatient and decided to flip it and see where it goes. It's only bagseed, of which I have plenty for round two, and the amount of time they have been vegging doesn't seem worth it electricity wise. I think instead of another power strip, I'm going to build two standing fixtures that will sit in the two middle spaces between the pots and stick a 55 watter in each for side lighting.

I think I've definitely learned my lessons on watering and over feeding / feeding too early. Also not ever using my local soil again. Too much clay, it just baked under the lights and forms crumbly clods. Even with amendments. Leave the outside soil outside and spend the $30 on good soil. All lessons learned to be used to blow all of you out of the water next time around! :P

Here's the babies:

My fruity beauty w/ an upskirt:

image.jpg image.jpg Notice the supercropping on the main stems for added strength. Also I've been doing my own stress training by bending the stems daily so that they bulk up at the node. Best looking one of the bunch!

The Lollipop:

Very little training or topping on this one

The seedling:

Little bit of nute burn at the bottom. I didn't have any plain water that was filtered or de chlorinated. So it got some MG

The Monsta' Bush AKA Wrinkly old hag:

My oldest. About 6 weeks old.

Then the two that I don't have anything to particularly identify them by. They seem pretty much identical in smell and appearance. They are about 4 weeks along:

I will keep a sharp eye on them (like I've even been able to go a few hours without checking on them so far!) and send an update once sex is shown.

Installed a 6 inch inline fan onto the DIY carbon scrubber I built and boy what a difference! It's quieter, but faster and with higher static pressure, it's only been in there for a few hours and I have to open the curtain for me to be able to even catch light whiff! So, now I'm both sad and relieved that the smell is gone from my bedroom.Total investment for carbon scrubber: ~$37.00

Doesn't look like nute burn to me. Good call on the carbon filter you're def gonna need it! I got a big fat one that works quite well gets rid of all the critical kushyness lol

Happy growing

What does it look like to you? I've been thinking I got mites... I can't see any bugs but there is a little damage that looks similar to some stuff I see in my outdoor garden. This building was one of the original structures of our town and is over 150 years old. So many cracks and crevices, they could get in anywhere. I'll keep going with the Neem oil, but if that doesn't seem to stop it, do you have any other suggestions. There was also some tobacco virus that I was worried about with my first one because of the clawing and "burnt" spots on the leaves. I do smoke and I roll my own cigarettes so I've always got loose bulk tobacco around.

Day 8 Flower Update:

They stretched decently and it gave me enough branch to tie down the plants with multiple tops. Lollipop ended up being a male so I bagged him and chopped him down. Go figures my healthiest plant grows a set of balls.

On a more exciting note, I have one confirmed female!

There is one that I can't tell if it's a male or a female, what's do you guys think?

the other two have yet to show any signs of sex. I did manage to identify one pest so far that's present. Fungus Gnats. Will the neem oil be effective at ridding myself of these little black Devils or should I be trying something else?

Make sure you have good air movement across your plants. Dont water as often and put up sticky traps. Easy as hell to get rid of them dont worry its just nature doing its thing. Neem will help. But its the little bastards in your soil that need to go. Neem+ water watering should do it.

Time for a better update with whole plant pics, not just flowers. I've been having trouble keeping PH in the correct range. But they seem to be doing all right. I'm going to go buy some gallons of clean filtered water for the next watering and I'm going to flush at that time as well. Only a few days out for that. Here is the view of the closet curtain opened:

So I only have four plants left. Determined another male and bagged and cut it. Storing all the trim until I have the rest to make some BHO or something along those lines.

Here is Monsta Bush, I'm thinking that it's going male. Anyone have a suggestion. It's taking a while to really show sex which is weird cause it's the oldest plant. Also the preflowers are looking a little ball ish compared to the certified ladies.

Here is fruity beauty which I am stoked is a girl!! The main stem ripped down the middle after low stress training. The one side got a little thirsty but bounced back. I think I'm just going to wind some string around it nice and tight to keep it from splitting the rest of the way under bud weight. I also back filled a little around the stem.

The 12/12 from one week veg experiment. Thinking it's also gonna go male. Shame too because besides the first leaves and some slight light burn; it seems really healthy!
