Hi there,
My friends neighbor's cat has been purging bho for a while now. for a while the cat was purging the bho making big muffins and bringing them down over and over for about 30 min then trying to bring it to full vac and leave it there for as long as u can till it waxes slowly over a 10 to 14 hour period... the cat had some good wax going.
Later the cat made shatter and met the mad hatter.
The next month the cat decided it would stop making muffins when purging and just gradually bring the vacuum up bit by bit every 20 minutes or more. 3hg, 5hg, 8hg, 10hg, 15hg, up to 20 hg then leave it to make quicker wax within a couple hours instead of 10 hours. The cat lives on top of a mountain so the maximum vacuum is around 24.5. Mountain cat species. the cat noticed if it brought it up past 20hg it would start to turn back to shatter a bit so it would leave it at 20hg to get quick wax... what the cat noticed is that the middle of the oil pad was a bit gummier on the bottom and did not come off in nice chunks like it used to as much near the center of the piece of wax and would gum up more like butter when you played with it.
The cat cannot speak human so it asked me to ask you guys if there may be some residue being left in this quicker method. perhaps it's not safe for the kittens to be using. please let us know. don't want anyone getting unhealthy...Save the kittens.
