Hi there,
My friends neighbor's cat has been purging bho for a while now. for a while the cat was purging the bho making big muffins and bringing them down over and over for about 30 min then trying to bring it to full vac and leave it there for as long as u can till it waxes slowly over a 10 to 14 hour period... the cat had some good wax going.

Later the cat made shatter and met the mad hatter.

The next month the cat decided it would stop making muffins when purging and just gradually bring the vacuum up bit by bit every 20 minutes or more. 3hg, 5hg, 8hg, 10hg, 15hg, up to 20 hg then leave it to make quicker wax within a couple hours instead of 10 hours. The cat lives on top of a mountain so the maximum vacuum is around 24.5. Mountain cat species. the cat noticed if it brought it up past 20hg it would start to turn back to shatter a bit so it would leave it at 20hg to get quick wax... what the cat noticed is that the middle of the oil pad was a bit gummier on the bottom and did not come off in nice chunks like it used to as much near the center of the piece of wax and would gum up more like butter when you played with it.

The cat cannot speak human so it asked me to ask you guys if there may be some residue being left in this quicker method. perhaps it's not safe for the kittens to be using. please let us know. don't want anyone getting unhealthy...Save the kittens.

:-P

Pics..
I would assume its all good and just waxed up nicer
if its solvent free while shatter and you vac or heat longer to nucleate or whatever in attempt to make wax, it kinda has to be solvent free. But pics will help determine that

the faster method completely skips the shatter stage and makes wax within 2 to 3 hours. i'm really not sure if that's good cuz before with the longer method the entire peice would almost come off in one nice chunk.... now with this new method it absolutely cannot and the underneath is gummy... we have a feeling that something is fishy with this faster method. need more replies. thanks

As you vac purge under 100F you will see a constant bubbling. As the bubbling slows and the oil starts to wax you will still see small holes where the liquid oil seeps up and through the wax. As all of the oil firms up and waxes solid there will be NO more small holes with liquid bubbling up through it. After you see the surface is waxed up solid still let the purge keep going at 100F for another hour or bit more to make sure all of the oil has waxed solid all the way through the whole mass.

The wolf noticed that if you stir your puddle, so that it is uniform, the end results are more uniform. That does not mean whip. It means look at the puddle before you start, and stir any areas that are not uniform, until they are.
