Honey oil, or hash oil, is obtained by leaching out all the good stuff from (in this case)crap weed by using a solvent, usually alcohol, and then taking out the solvent which leaves a thick dark oil that can be smoked, or taken internally. I like to put a little in tea and drink it before bedtime. A word of caution!!! If you intend to eat or drink it, only use grain alcohol when you are procesing it. This first run product can be refined further to produce a cleaner honey colored oil, but I have found it is not really worth the trouble. That step involves using sulfuric acid and unless you know what you are doing, it can be dangerous.

txhomegrown im intrigued. by alcohol do you mean pure alcohol or can it be done with say rum or vodka??

Vodka will work, but everclear is the best. It is 95% pure grain alcohol. Rum has too much sugar.
