If you're going for records, which seems to be your goal, DIY is the way to go. Since you're not a DIY guy, get someone to build the lights for you, customized to your requirements and surroundings. For 10k I'm sure you'll find someone to do it.. I know I would.
I don't care about records. I care about money. I think I'm going to go with Specgradled. They have a vert8 and they will customize the spectrum since I have two rooms I want all blue spectrum in one and a mostly red spectrum in the other. The timber guys said they would mix the 3k and 1650k. If I can get SPECGRADLED to do the same thing for me but with the 660 Osram reds like fluence uses I think I might have found a match made in heaven. PPFD of 1586 2.45 which isn't the 2.7 of the new fluence spydr2i but I think by customizing my spectrum I can get an even better outcome even though it's slightly less efficient.

The specs of these light sounds pretty good. A vert4 in the veg chamber with 4000°k would have more than enough blue and the vert8 looks like they have mixed warm and cool-white spectrum and have added deep red to the mix.
The only thing I don't like is the lens cover they use to get IP65 ratings. Most LED's have 120°(also these Duris M or S5 from Osram) and even the best optic pmma has only 95% transmission. This means you would get ~5% better efficiency when you remove the lens cover. That's a lot and would lead to ~2,57μMol/J.
When they are willing to customize the spectrum ask them for Osrams new Square series deep reds to increase efficiency even more. I'm pretty sure you can boost it in the same range with the new spider2i.
Do you know Amare's new bar8? As the name suggests, it's also a fixture with 8 crossbars but it offers even more flexibility cause you can use the bars separately or split it just in half.
They already use Square series deep red and reach 2,7μMol/J with added pmma cover. Without cover you would get probably 2,84 or more. That's f..(#iπ& crazy.
What's the price compared to the spider2i? As a rui member you can get a huge discount on the bar8. I believe you safe ~500 bucks, 1200 instead of 1700$ or something like that.
There is a thread about the Amare bar8 here in the LED section. Really interesting! Together with fluence spider2i probably the best you can get currently.. And with such a huge discount it's a no brainer!

You could also build your own fixture to beat that numbers. Samsungs new horti strip has 2,74μMol/J at 1,2amps(~51,7w net). Run them at half current(23-25w) and they scratch already at the 3,0μMol/J limit. Add a few Square series deep reds and they would break the 3,0 mark probably.
Cree's new XP-E2 in deep red reach almost the same level of efficiency and it's easier to order top bins. Osram has a limited selection system and it's hard to get the brightest binning. But to DIY something that beats the bar8 in terms of output and efficiency 1200$ is pretty tight budget.

unfortunately I don't buy into the hype of "adding reds" or any of the gimmicks involved with "enhanced spectrum". It adds a fair amount of cost, but we are not interested in it right now. My goal is to provide a kick ass lamp for the most affordable price, which grows fat ass buds with tons of resin. No one is touching us on price per umol.

This made me chuckle especially as you have bought into the red "hype"???

Seems HLG was waaaay ahead of the game, although I would expect nothing less from the true pioneers, who really did change the game!!!

How long have you had that? Have you calculated grams per sq ft or per watt??? very interested in what you have to say very nice set up. I really like timber grow lights but as far as efficiency they aren't as nice as I thought. A Gavita double ended HPS is 1.7 so something at 2.7 would roughly be 30% more efficient.
Ok, so starting to get the hang of it..
Last run was 1.8 gpw over 11' using the Bar-8 Canna-Spec & Prototype. X4 different & new strains. The biggest plant could've done better too. Now to focus on the g/sq'. After learning these plants.
