Do you guys have any thoughts on root pruning? Would it even apply to growing miss mary. Or is a thing to stop root bounding. The article I was reading said it promoted more root growth or something like that.

My lil plant is about 75% red hairs only giving bio bloom at almost every water .. I removed the big fan leaves that were damaged such as by light burn or yellowing at bottem and a couple that my cat bit is that ok.. It's a soil grow under 7 cfls 2700k ... Also some of the regular leaves like the foliage leaves are like turning a weird smooth kinda drained look to them not droopy but kinda in a way getting lighter green from the dark green look they had but the colas look extremely healthy and full of crystals any help???

I don't have personal experiance on that but in theory it could help promote more root growth but I can tell you it will slow your growth for a couple days--If you decide to do it give it a little transplant juice to help with shock---B1/sea-kelp/super thrive-----I use organic power thrive with B1 with all transplants/ its a great additive as well...

hey doc! im about to do a hydro set up along with my soil grow...this is for a personal stock of special smoke...i want 100 wpsf and will be using a 2x2 cabinet with a 400 mh/hps...what i need is the hydro set up that fits...in your opinion, what would be the best way to go? i will build one or buy one...but if i can buy one it would be easier but only if i could get the same or better results compared to a DIY...4 to 6 plants...i will have a clone shelf up top...but would like to be able to grow from seed and clone...thanks!

whats a average dry weight harvest result for 4 kw 2 600 w. all hps. w 5 gall buckets of soil and an experienced grower.... 2week veg times???/ say 20 plants per lamp???

Ptrigger, it looks ready for a light nute mix, but don't worry it'll get outta the funk give it time, and don't overwater, let the cup get super-light.



Doniawan- Yes, that is realistic, but plants per light doesn't really matter...

A friend of mine does 16 per 1k light, and gets 2 pounds.

So, a really good grower gets 2 pounds per 1k, and a bit over a pound with 600s... So 8pounds with the thousands, and 3 with the 600s... Eleven would be really, really good... Most novice growers would get around 6...




Max yield would be a skunk derivitive... I'm not sure about "recordholder" I don't think there is... And if there is it's pointless and stupid... There are too many variables.


Not sure what you mean by "rejuvination record" if you mean double harvest, like re-veg and flower again... Well, I have no idea, and if someone here does, I'd like to shake their hand

If I set up my grow to use the sun for say12 hrs and cfl or 400w mh for 12 will or could it stress the plants? outside temps can hit well over 100 in the summer with humidity in the mid 30's or lower when its hot. house temps run 70-75 and humidity is very low it's hard to keep humidity at 30%.
Also if I run 12/12 light with summer sun will that have neg. affects on the plant?

No man... That's the best way you can grow, the sun is the right spectrum and you plants will love it...

Be mindfull of light leaks if you are force flowering with the sun... IE flowering in the summer, and blocking the light so days are only 12 hours long...


I wish to operate a greenhouse...

I will pull them inside for the dark time. Do you think these might be suffering from lack of humidity? sorry bout the light didn't want to shut them down.

Im using a rubbermaid DWC/bubbleponics hydro homeade system and Im having trouble getting the right mix of nutes... Im using Foxfarm Big bloom and grow big.. My questions is do you use the chart that is on the website so its like 1 tblsp for each gallon in my resivoir ? some clarity would be great thanks doc

ah im getting 2.8 lbs on 3 kw's.. i feel like im a complete failure wasting my time... wtf am i doing wrong.. i know i am spaeaking out loud here but, i was wondering if your (MRNICE), friend had a link with his 16 per kw.. i know i need a camera now..ps. thanks for all the help

I have a question. Someone told me that if you are germen in a paper towel that once they show root after 12 hours if you don't have them in dirt they will be 100 % male could this be true

NOT TRUE. But stress can cause a higher % of males.
