glad to see ya finally got an ir thermometer....I knew you'd like it :) they're an indispensable tool for an indoor grower imo. So did you check the temp of the led panel for me then? If you did and I missed it i'm sorry, I just scrolled through like ten pages of posts in this thread trying to catch up lol :)

great final results btw, very impressive on both sides imo.

and whoever it was who said that co2 kills bugs was full of s&^it!
I forgot to post it.
LED@18" :78*-82*
HPS@18" : 84*-90*
Those numbers were take over a couple of days. It's been warm in my real world climate so the range is a good representation of what is going on not just a one time thing.

So based on what the plant physiologist told me that should be about a 50% increase in metabolic rate for the hps over the led side.
When you see them up and hanging there isn't a size difference. I think he might be right about the catching up thing. Same exact flower times too, so we will see.

that's cool too thanks brother thank you, but I meant checking the temp of the panel itself and the temp of your reflector on your hps so we can get an idea of exactly how much less the panel runs.

i'm assuming there is a substantial difference between the two.

my thoughts on the metabolic rate differences between the two sides are : that it would be great in an led only sealed room to keep the temp higher as opposed to hps, where you have to keep the room temp lower to compensate for such intense heat put off by the bulbs.

win win if this were proven true. i see you now have co2, so are you planning on trying a sealed/enriched led vs. hps test next time? Going sealed would eliminate the temperature variable somewhat with good air circulation between the two halves

anyhow, hats off to you sir. This has been a very good read.

Hows the ripeness of the trichs between the led and the hps side ? Is it possible that the led side could have been allowed to go a week longer than the hps ?

My bad.
Apache was about 85*-91* at the hottest point. And the hps was about 125*-137*. That was with the air cooled running through it. I should have tested it with no air cooling.

The opposite if anything. The apache trichs were a little ahead of the hps. Nothing super crazy...but the led hit the amber first and had the most at harvest.

Thanks for the props

GG while your testing again, you should measure the temp of the led and or hps, and the room temp, just for ffurther speculation. Really nice job, amazing results and great journaling. cant wait for the dry! maybe even some manicured pics soon? ;)

why does everyone keep saying they cant wait til the next one? what else can the guy do? the top of the line led vs a 1000 hort is as good as its gonna get. should he add a flux capacitor or what? I wanna see somebody else put there rig up against a hort. Just sayin. well done. nothin left to proove.

I think ppl mean that they would love to see the next journal gg might put up. Honestly, i rather see awhole room all apache out! Fuck hPs. Ha
well I wont say fuck hps because not much can compete with it but I agree, his next all apache run will kill it.

Fantastic run and thread GG, nice show! Looks like a nice haul, from both sides of the wall. That AT600 would be worth savings up some pennies for :) If the weight comes close to the HPS, and it looks very close, the savings in power and costs to deal with additional HPS cooling is well worth the price of admission...

I'm thinking about either doing apache my next run or a diy based off of gaius set up with a few more leds. This grow definitely has me ready to throw something together

I just went through 4 of the most LED oriented threads, just to see what I said and when'

As far back as May 16

NO WHERE did I see me telling anyone they should buy BML PERIOD, let alone buy it over another brand that they were interested

I was especially interested to find every CaliWs post and NO.

Oh, and I saw an equal or bigger number of AT and A 51 praises

If you're gonna call me out, at least tell the fucking truth

Awesome work. Can't wait to see the final numbers. Definitely got my thinking of getting an AT600. Finding a buyer for some of my other panels would really help make the price more reasonable.

One it's not even may 16th yet...so what were you looking at???
Pet I show you respect because you have been around for a long time. You have witnessed a lot of knowledge. But what you have done is nothing to be bragging to the world about...not yet. You are good at growing pistils...lets see some buds.
You have about what...10days of use with these lights so far???

You joking me if you are calling me out for lying about anything...I am one of the most upfront and honest people on this site. Good or bad I show it...Tell it like it is...I just happen to grow pretty well to begin with IMO.
Here is some evidence...it took me about 5 min to find these since april 26th(last 16days)...
You might also consider...
Check out...
Definitely investigate...
Did you miss the part where I said there is a finished grow on RIU using one?
HINT: The grower was extremely happy. Certainly comparable to other grows I've seen using A 51, but BML will cover a bigger area better...
...So you can supplement for a couple hundred dollars...

I am going to edit this shit out to just source the original quote soon...not letting all this bml spam stay on here long.
