Any Organic Purists in Arizona?

The compost heap is sorta like a septic tank. It is alive and needs care too. f I don't water mine, I do not get compost...I get straw. It is all the life in the soil, the bacterial, fungi, small animals- that convert the nutritional value into plant usable form. Keeping that going is your plant's food. Bottles of "Organic nutes" don't fall from the sky. You could call this lazy....but not really. My work goes in before the seeds get planted. ...but then I am NOT dealing with artificial lighting and all the stuff indoor brings. I am hving a hard time with the term "Organic purist" when I read about ppms of CO2 and all that. I am prolly THE most conservative organic grower I know...I am still on the fence about using neem or molasses. How much more conservative can you get?

Agreed, not only is indoor growing extremely artificial its far from sustainable like organic outdoor growing is

I am definitely not organic at this time. I have played with it before like it, and may go back again one day. Plants sure like it.

Outside is the only way to do a pure organic. You cannot duplicate all the complex interactions. I get pest..and I get a control.
Never seen spider mites. I see some leafhoppers. I see whiteflies, Thrips---yes, I have them, too. You can spray them off with the hose for a control. If you get them late, they won't do that much damage.
I do not use any pest control in a bottle. Everything kinda takes care of itself. Weak plants tend to draw pests...though I am seeing some strains more prone to certain pests.

My only worry is grasshoppers and blister beetles.

Seriously dude bipolar? You've even met me. I'm just the same on the net as in person. I didn't go anywhere. I started a new subject it was getting outta hand with your spewed bull shit.

Wasp larvae in compost give me a fuckin break. You speak a lot of crap. Saying buy commercial soil and compost and bottled nutes. Get with it or just stop posting on the my threads. We don't need your input.

Azoned, why knock neem and all these "exotics" when you probably have never even used them. Tell me why I shouldn't use neem?? Give me some science not you opinion?

New thread we can discuss here. This thread got clogged like a toilet.

Hardly, just didn't feel like talking to people who just don't get it. Real nice input lol. This is why RIU is the laughing stock of all the cannabis forums. A bunch of waste of info.
Encouraging open discussion on one hand while calling what other's say 'bullshit' is a bad start for recruitment to your new thread. You are flip flopping between being nice, and then calling everyone idiots, it's pretty crass. You are addressing the lowest common denominator acting as if you are a PhD botanist (maybe you are but you are talking to the AZ RIU forum not a lecture hall). What makes this a little crazy for instance, is how you are saying how cheap and simple it is, then telling everyone the specific k Pa their medium should be watered to and that they could get irrometers (which are not cheap). That is as contradictory as you can get I feel.

You can have your new thread, but if it's going to be a place where people are told their organic experiences weren't real (because they defected to other mediums) you can have that thread all for yourself buddy, I'm not touching it with a 10 foot pole.

Also, I met you in real life for a few seconds and noticed a cool shirt you had on, I don't know if that constitutes me as a character reference, but you get the drift. I would like to apologize about the "bipolar" comment, that was really in reference to how each day your attitude towards this forum shifts.

My main goal is to see people enjoy good harvests and I try to give tips when possible. I know some people really have struggled with the organics recently, maybe you can once and for all set them all on a straight path towards good yields and good buds. Good luck in doing that and I'd try to focus more on people's posts who are inquiring about fixing their situation in their organics as opposed to addressing the seeming haters.

and that's why i don't hardly post here anymore..... RIU is just as good as any other forum.....

ive only met hacker once, but he was way cool, gave me some samples, we've talked on HB, the phone, every time I asked for his help, he tried to help.

several times I've asked treep a question, and got the condescending attitude or a link to an 80 page explanation

cant we learn from each other without the egos? isn't this an "online community"? every fucking thread is like MY DICK IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!!!
its stupid and tiresome

You won't be hearing say any particular technique id wrong...just, I may not do it that way. Chemical nutes do get results and those results may not the repeatable. The trick is getting your soil to give up what you need.
I started with raw ground 2 seasons ago. When I say raw, I mean, never been turned...and I m on a hilltop. Topsoil is shallow and the rock is deep. Decomposing granite and shale with caliche. I get about a foot of soil out of a 2ft hole.

I try to learn something from everyone, every chance I get, and I hope people learn from me too.

I do plenty of reading and research on my own. I was talking about the attitude around here, its lame as fuck.
I want to learn, always. what I don't understand is the "my way or the highway" tone
we should be more helpful and open minded, that's why we're here right, to learn from or meet someone from your neck of the woods.

I farm chickens and rabbits on a small scale, I live in east mesa-almost A.J. If any of you organic growers want some chicken litter (poo, feathers, yard/grass clippings, wood chips) or rabbit poo you can have it. for free. just bring a bucket or two. if I happen to have extra veggie plants, you can have those too. that's really all I have to offer and only helps soil growers but its yours if you want some.

No brains no headaches. Riu is a lost cause when it comes to actual growing techniques. Def a great place to find a ton of regurgitated half truths, superstitions and myths. I comend your efforts in raising the standards. You can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink and when he drinks his own urine, spits it in your face, and then tells you its champagne, well then you cant help but walk away laughing at him. Some great threads on icmag about co2 ppm levels and vpd levels in flower, great info from real experience. Happy growing bro. Ill talk to ya later.
