The solar Eclipse350 looks like an interesting lamp. Wish we had more detail about what LED's are surrounding the cob.
I run their SolarSPEC-150,SolarSPEC-260, SolarECLIPSE-350 & also have their SolarECLIPSE-220 pre-ordered.

The Eclipse-350 +UV-B is running CREE CXA 2520 COB's w/ CREE XTA/XPE 5w chips surrounding the COBs & the 15w T8 Reptisun UV-B bulb in the center. Just harvested a Bodhi seeds Pura Vida @ 60 Days under the SE-350 in a 7gal pot. If you have any questions feel free to stop by my thread:

not even close to accurate, they're XGE2 and XPE2
the CXA2530 dated? I read the LED trade journals regularly, and see nothing backing that claim. Icemud just got called on claiming the XTE chip outperformed the CXA COBs, specifically the CXA2540. That was on another journal. Now, since Icemud can't even find the calculator on Cree's sight, and boasts how the COBs from Cree are less efficient than the numbers he found for a Cree floodlight, I think everyone here should do their own research and stop relying on a few growers here who make serious mistakes with their claims regularly.

Or maybe you should educate yourself. There are no XGE2 LEDs from Cree. Both XT-E and CXA2530 are dated as of now. XT-E are with us for more 4 years now and CXA2530 for about 3. Regarding XT-E vs CXA2540 - depends on the bin. Top bins of both are capable of delivering about 210 lm/W when driven soft and about 180 lm/W at binning current. XT-E are more expensive no doubt about that. It seems to me that you're the one who can't use Cree's website very well.

your making that up,
did you look at Amare's page, or the response to Icemud where he was clearly called out for fudging numbers because, like you, he hadn't been able to use the calculator (so easy) and realize the XTE aren't even close the best COBs?
you didn't mention this
look at Amare's page - its XGE2 and XPE2, talk to Victor and tell him to educate himself,
look at Cree's site, educate yourself
using italics is not rhetorically impressive
you can't pull those numbers from the calculator with actual chips, and your fudging "bin numbers" if you think otherwise,
you make up shit like your on Star Trek, Scotty

trolls are dated, as of now....

this is why decent growers with brains don't bother with these sights
an idiot and a genius are having an argument, can you tell the difference between the two?
not saying I am a genius here, clearly not for bothering to have any input

scroll down, on the 350 page a little
supplemental led array -
you click on the 350 on the catalog page, it brings you to the specifics on the light, scroll down and it says in bold type XPG2 and XPE2 certainly not a XTE mentioned anywhere, I was chicken pickin typing and I was also feeling the PTSD, why don't you give me a hard time for having PTSD?

when you grow up? - you know your intentionally trying to make a dig at me,
XGE2 and not XPG2? trying to type XPE or XPG and not paying enough attention cuz I am thinking why? and how this blog is infuriating
yes XPG2 - once again, your just chain pulling, you knew what I meant, but your a chain puller - not fun for a guy with a PTSD.

I call em as I see em, being an asshole is being an asshole. Your pig piling for fun, how is that cool?

Furthermore, this chronikool person stated implicitly that the panels had XTE chips which they do not - and your not jumping on his case - is he your little cliq buddy?

So yes, not even close, as i said in the beginning, and all of the bitching is useless. Posing as a cool person in the name of being right or cliq-ish is stupid and doesn't help anyone.

my over-arching point - besides that there are no XTE chips in the panel, and I don't know why no one cares to notice, and that 2530's are just hitting applications like ours now - is to all of the folks that are condescendingly referred to here as "lurkers":
do your due diligence, get a second opinion, and don't rely on the people who post here,
including me.

http://www.cree.com/sitecore modules/web/~/media/Files/Cree/LED Components and Modules/XLamp/Data and Binning/XLampXPE2.pdf#search="xpe2"

here (above) is the XPE2 datasheet from Cree's website for the person who said there is no XPE2
somewhere, somebody said that, and deleted it
so easy to find and use this information....

here (below) a posting by Cree on the XPG2

http://www.cree.com/News-and-Events/Cree-News/Press-Releases/2013/October/XPG2-intro

not old tech....how can there be any application released to the general public before last year with this LED in it if it wasn't released to manufacturers until the end of 2013?

yup, theres a response I am referring to that was deleted - if readers are wondering what I am writing about, thats why its uncertain

Has anyone seen these Amare panels in action? How are they vs Apache or some of the other cob panels coming onto the market?

Be careful what you say about companies that pay for advertising on here.. That will get you in trouble too or the thread locked or removed.

What about rosin tech. That shady company which sells faulty hazardous presses. They threaten customers who bought faulty presses and speak out about it. You guys removed that thread about it after they paid riu. For.supposed slander even though it was all true. So there's no way it was slander. I have proof they threatened me after I posted a video of their faulty press on another plarform showing how.it didn't work and caught fire. They dick people around so they can use their money from orders. .

The thread was locked then removed. There was no name calling of any kind. Just facts

Dude I don't deal with advertising no mods do we have a different team
They don't even talk to us or tell us who advertises here
And I have ad blocker cause I'm not stupid
So I don't see who even advertises with us
But I'll look into it I'm sooo fucking beyond positive that it was not deleted/ locked for any purpose you're throwing out and if it was it was our ad team and thats bullshit

but writing like this in a biting /snide matter is bullshit too, why not just pm me next time

it doesnt hurt to just ask why or for me to look into it...
