Holy Jesus! That sounds like one hell of a grow room room Hybrid! Can't wait to see what you can do with those lights! I want to learn if those lights that you have will give you a good pound or even two in that 4X4 space. Do you think that's realistic though or am I just dreaming?
Most def.

I tried to find your thread and wasn't able to hybrid. I can't afford anything huge right now and I am just looking into LED to grow out my seeds before I take them outdoors with me this coming summer. My budget is $200 and for that I think the best option is to try a tasty LED single light. And that's where my LED light journey begins. Your lights look amazing though!

It's in LED & other lighting. I'm so bad with comp. even the phone, lol! Good luck bud! Tastys a good one, but I'd rather get a 100-150 Amare all day!

How much dried weight can you end up with using just one light 'Where am I'?
Well a lot depends on the strain... Your growing method and a ton of other factors. Under the SS-260 I have netted between 12- 18 oz It is very realistic to pull a pound in a 4 x 4 space. I've just ran two plants, one under a SE-220 and the other under a SS-260 and I will easily pull a pound. As for a single light you could get a SS-100 or a SS-150. Keep the plants short, fem, lollipop, defoliate. It will do a single plant easily. Yes a 100 or one 150 would do fine for clones or seedlings. I run a 3 x 3, a 4 x 4 and a 5 x 5 tent setup. Tent 1 is clones and seedlings, Tent 2 is vegetative and Tent 3 is flower.
Your best bet is to e-mail AMARE and tell them your budget and what you want to do. I am sure they can help.

Yeah I haven't figured that out yet either. I just go to the thread then cut and paste it. As for spectrum my 260 has the upgraded Equatorial spectrum. I know that the 220 now (250) and the 450 have had their spectrum's enhanced. One thing AMARE really pays attention to is customer feedback. The key with any LED is to have the proper height above the canopy. This allows the spectrum to blend correctly especially LED's Lights with single diodes like a 260. The COB lights not so much but with the mono's on the 220-450 they require it. Many people are confused by the mono;s but they actually allow for spectrum tuning. A good way to test is to turn off the COB and place a piece of white paper directly under the LED's a couple of inches away. You will see the individual colors of each LED. (Remember some are outside the visual spectrum (infrared) so you won't see it on the paper. Now move the paper gradually away from the light. You will see the separate lights began to blend together. Once you can't distinguish individual colors anymore that would be the minimum distance you need above your canopy to get the proper spectrum mix. That is one of the reasons why most manufactures will recommend a minimum distance from the canopy. The other is to get maximum coverage.at a specific PPFD. It is why HPS has been the light standard for indoor growers. It is very good at throwing out a ton of photons (intensity)... The downside is it that it produces a lot of heat in the process. We could talk about lenses vs no lens but that is a whole separate discussion.

As far as I know. What's not imported these days? But it's assembled here I'm pretty sure. They back their products 100%, not look for excuses not to like many companies. I can't find any real competition for this company IMHO!

Cool to know Hybrid. I checked out your grow with the amare 450. Quite awesome. Have you harvested that crop yet?
No but it's looking to be more then I expected off a 450. Honestly thought it would only do one plant. It's running 3 now & will be used for 2 in the future. I normally use 1200w HPS for 2 plants. Not saying I'll get the same Yeild but we'll see. Might not be far off. Got 1.5 in a 4'x4' w/ 1200w HPS the first GG run. Would be nice to match that.

How do you think the 450 would do in veg? Most of the HPS growers I know will do 2 plants per 1000 watts to get max density and yield. I think with a light mover you could do 4 plants easy in a 4 x 4 space with a 450. Can't wait to see your results!

I use 600w a plant w/ HPS n that'll usually get me 12-17 oz. For my size plants (2 month veg) they usually fit 2 in a 4'x4' nicely. Right now I'd say I have my 4'x4' overpacked w/ 3. So, I won't be maxing out those plants w/ the 450 alone but will be able to see what it can do in a 16sq' area with this strain. Poor veg & sloppy somewhat low-yielding plants but at least I have something to compare them to. I'm sure I'll be able to increase Yeild on that GG#4 w/ future runs if I keep it. Everyone who smokes it says it's worth keeping & it's one of their favorites but I'm not sure if I'm willing to grow that hassle plant again. Got one big mother left of it & am contemplating cloning it again. Also gotta bunch of new MILFS recently that I'm looking forward to trying out. Stay tuned, I'll be running another thread w/ the 450 & some 260's next time. Really happy w/ Amare.

Well that makes me happy I pulled over 12 ounces from a personal cross (Numb Feet) primarily under a SE-260. I normally grow trees and run out of space. I use to run 6 plants in a 4 x 4 when I did hydro. Now we run 4 - 6 veg then 4 in the 5 x 5 for flower. If I do femming, lolipopping, and defoliating I can cut down on the popcorn and increase the yield. Yet It is a two way street. Since I do not concern myself with "bag appeal" and my medicine is for my patients. It is the medicinal properties which concern me the most. When I go buy aspirin I want it to work and really don't care what it looks like...

Have you guys tried iranian haze or sannies sugar punch yet? If you haven't I highly recomend those two strains for highly effective weed! Iranian haze comes from dr greenthumb seeds in Canada. I've tried both and they are at the mind altering levels.

I'm wicked surprised more people aren't chiming in on this thread.
Let's face it though, all quality grow lights cost a chunk of money. I think that this year many questions about LED growing have been answered. Allota guys/gals started doing more DIY builds, especially w/ the introduction of the COB. So the true costs of LED grow lights in material & labor is out there basically as common knowledge for anybody that wants to put just a lil bit of time in on reading. So much on the Internet.

Thing is we all do what we can do when we have to buy stuff, as consumers want to know we're getting what we think we're paying for. It's up to the distributor/seller to make sure we understand what exactly that is.

My first LED purchase was 3 different lights & one major reason for this was I just had to test the legitimacy of these companies & justification of the costs. There are many other reasons but this is 1 or 2. I bought an Amare SE-450 to test next to a Hydroponics Hut X5-500. It was the only way I could sleep at night knowing that I did something to find out the truth behind these companies (as I considered them for future purchases) & LED growing in general. This year I watched a ton of guys go from swearing by R+B lighting to loving Kelvin Temp. COBs. N I mean in love w/ them. I watched 5 watt Chips introduced as viable & w/ more penetration. DIY became very popular as growers discovered it's not that hard & very rewarding. We all wanna give that personal touch to our grow rooms that shows we love our girls & jobs as growers. If we're going to buy commercial panels or lights then we need to know we're not getting ripped off. That's why I think threads like this are good.

I also went out on a limb n bought a SunCloak 4416 to really test the boundaries of LED the best I could buying commercial. I mean I really needed to know for myself after reading about it for a year. Had so many theories that I just did not know to be facts, so many opinions & views absorbed & considered, so much bullshit too.

No idea what my point is & I need to go spray for white powdery mold. What a bitch. Never had it before but it's like Herpes for plants. Gotta get some heat in there. Temp. Veg room w/ newly planted clones. All w/ WPM now & it spread to the mothers. So instead of gabbing on, I need to get to work. Just wanted to say I think there should be more threads like this & as much info should be available about quality companies. LED purchasing is allot different then HPS purchasing. Many want to make the switch but don't know which way to turn just getting into it & some wind up wasting a chunk of Cheddda on inferior products based on huge claims made by the companies.

That's why I bought the Hydroponics Hut. They had some pretty wild claims on their web-site w/ NO #'s or anything to back it up. I mean nothing. Answers to my questions were promised but never given. The idea of the technology in that light sounded really good. The spectrum was on point for the previously desired RQE Burple lights IMO. It has 9 COBs surrounded by 5 watters like my Amare sort've. If the answers to your questions are not on the web-site the company should most certainly do their best to answer them when they're asking for that Kind've money. At least allow poeple to make educated decisions. I think that company in particular should provide all that info cuz they're cheaper & for that reason should not have anything to hide. After having it I see the difference in build quality to the Amare. Both 450-500w & designed for the same purpose. $780 for the HH , like $980 or so for the SE-450. Victor gave me quantity discount pricing as I'll be placing a large order soon. But it's listed for $1,145.
To me, the $200 price difference was minut & the difference in growth from each light was substantial. Even if the price diff. was $400-500, I would still think the Amare is well worth it using the HH as a comparison & now I understand the real-deal on company claims. Don't get me wrong, the Hydroponics Hut is a great RQE (Relevent quantative efficiency) light. I'd probobly prefer it in certain situations as opposed to my 600w HPS from what I see so far. Directional growing for a distinct footprint for example, less hear, great suplemental spectrum to an HPS. It's probobly one of the better Hobbiest lights from what I can gather but don't plan on buying anything but the best from here on out. To me I think Amare is the best. Also hoping the SunCloak works out, I want to want another. Doing good so far though, it's different & gives smaller buds but many & surprisingly dense. A lil over half way through the first grow. All are welcome to visit the thread.

It's called - "My Amare & Hydroponics Hut OC GG#4 grow"

- "OC GG#4 in the SunCloak 4416"

I don't know how to post it as a link. If anybody could LMK it would be greatly appreciated. Come by n see why I believe Amare Tech. To be Well Worth The Money. Personally I am very happy to pay it & even happier to open 2 heavy duty double packed boxes to get to my Beast SE-450 w/ lenses heavier then the heat sinks prob. on the HH, LOL! Seriously though, if that's any representation of what some other companies offer as professional competition to the Amare or some of these other high quality LED grow lights then I fully understand why so many growers doubt LED growing w/ a vengeance even. So many try to get their feet wet & buy something sub-par to save money & they end up w/ the most sour taste in their mouths but were so excited to get started based on false yet amazing claims. Ok, huge ranting over. If you made it through the whole thing then thanks for reading what I thought to be useful information to someone somewhere, ha! Good growing wishes & always do your best to be happy with your LED light purchase by making an educated decision. It's so important I can't emphasize it enough. Peace!

I was looking at yours
SolarEclipse450UVB: 1980UMOL@12", 1207UMOL@24", 770UMOL@36", 546UMOL@48"

Its nice but I that looks like general information to me. Did they give you any of their foot prints and such?

Thought this video was neat.

Did they tell you the ppfd of the 450? It's a nice site they have but I feel a lot of useful information has been left out =/ not really sure what I umol is.

I believe they're still working on the data for the PPFD of a 450 but they will give you the PPFD for they're other models, 350 & some solar-system set-ups too. Victor has most of your answers just ask him, I asked many questions & to my surprise he answered all of them quickly.
I'd love to get s Pro-9 but just don't have the ceiling hieght. I'll be going with 450's & 260's for the most part. Prob some 100's for side-lighting.
