I don't even know if this thread is still going but if your still on this site I'd love to see how those ladies finished.

Dude your pics are always oustanding Ocanabis! I've seen them all over the internet and I think in some magazines as well. I was wondering what type of camera setup you use and I'm just really digging how rich of a black you are getting in the background. Is that just a black curtain for a back drop and what kind of lighting are you using for taking those pics. I just got started trying to take above average photos of my girls and right now I only have a sony a230 dslr and the stock lens and can't wait to upgrade to a better camera and get a nice macro lens and wireless flash.

Almost done

Looks like its going to be an early harvest at aprox 45 days.I have had a problem with Fungus Nats at the onset of bloom. But regaurdless of that it still looks like I'll have me some frosty nugs to keep me going for awhile.

The ladies have been on Molases and water alternatingly for a week now and I will continue to do so for 1 more week.

I have a massive amout of pics for your pleasure so you might want to keep a towel handy

1st up is the Train Wreck pheno.
Her aroma is Spicy,Skunky with an underlieing Grape fuel that is deep and heavy.

Trich's are 99% cloudy with a few ambers in between. This is where I like to harvest most strains for the desired uplifting type of efect.

Buds are spear shaped with a good calix to leaf ratio. Most of the leaves have been fading and falling off for the past week with some leaves turning to the nice burgandy amber fall colors.Trimming will be a breeze for sure.
Room temps are in the low 20's celcius (60-65 df) so its not cool whether induced either.

Ok here we have the Q Train Querkel dom pheno.

She has this realy nice Fruit melon Champage aroma to her(yummy)very pleasing to me.She also has the same fall colors as our previous ladie

Next up is our 50/50 mix

Lots of resin but the aroma is very sublime. Its very similar to the Qurekel pheno but not neerly a strong.
Buds are a mix of both parents where there not as big and fat as the Q, pheno but shaped like her exept they are more slender.

I have takin cuts of all 3 ladies.I am planting the 50/50 and the Indica dominate pheno's out side this year and the T wreck pheno I am running indoors again for further evaluation.

on with the pic dump

later peeps

Ocan.

FINAL COMMENTS:
While I had 3 variations,the Twain Wrech dom,.Indica Dom and a 50/50 mix
From the 3 versions I particularily like the 50/50 mix because of the flavors. It has the Spicy/hashy flavs but also has this Grape Tang after taste that realy is very flavorfull and mouth watering. The high is a lot more heady as well with a nice rounded body high. The smoke is thick and rich full bodied leaving you some what breathless.
The other 2 pheno's are very strong Spicy and Hashy tasting that is more stony with a nice rounded body effect.
The Hash I made from the trim is also top drawer.Very spicy trditional hash tasty with a high that is devistating.Just a couple of hits is enough to put you on the floor

How much can each pheno yield if given a 5 week veg, topped at the third node with the branches LSTed around the perimeter of the pot??

I am assuming that they were topped at the third node but after looking a little closer it looks like it was the fourth node. I tend to LST and not top any of my plants but after what I read on the wed site about this strain, my normal method would not work so well, so I am going to top and LST the lower branches the best I can to keep the height down for as long as I can. Any other advice about what to expect from this strain would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I'm running some QT in a F&D hydro setup and have to say mine look very different from these. And have to wonder about conflicting reports on yield. Some say only moderate yields, which these photos show plants barely in the moderate yield category, and others who claim it's supposed to be a heavy yielder that goes beyond the range displayed in the various phenos. The dark background in the photos implies that lighting was weak to the plants, reflected in how they look rather gangly with smalish buds anyway. A black sheet or other solid black background under full lumen grow room lighting would have given better detail while providing a classy look too. HT's old (70's) bud porn photo guru, Laurence Cherniak was a master of lighting and red and blue satin backdrops that would bring out the classy look to our favorite buds.
