So I built my airlift brewer in a 30 gallon trash can with an eco 5 air pump( microbe man said it's good for 50 gallons), however it's not coming out in a constant steam, the video I posted below isn't mine but it's ubasicly the same thing, mine might shoot out a bit faster but I was wondering if his/ mine is fine the way it is or there is something we could do to fix it? Do I need a new pump? Is it built wrong? It's pretty basic 1n1/4 in pvc with a 90 and a 45 elbow, hole drilled in the top with a grommet and a hose running down to almost the bottom. I just need compost tea!! Please help haha

I'd figure a smaller pipe. 3/4" or 1". Sch 40. The guy in video is using a freaking pond pump with a 1/4" hose. As far a geyser pump go's. His doesn't seem to be doing it.

they do kind of blurp along. that's how an airlift works at that scale. raising & lowering your output may help you find the best rate. the airlift is the most effective way to aerate your bucket but it doesn't look that way in practice. That's why you see people doing vortexes & running additional stones but, unless something was way off, those things are unnecessary

Thanks for the help guys!
I'm gonna adjust it so it is a vortex need a new elbow but do you know how to adjust the level of air coming out? There's no buttons or levers but it does say 5 to 80 watts so I figured it was adjustable
