Ok guys we pretty much have the cfl section, however we need to come up with an attractive name and description for it, whoever wants this to happen, please post your ideas of names and descriptions to match, if we can get a handful of good ideas then we could put them into vote or something, at least we will have something to work with, how does this sound, are you with me? HOOAH!!
Post as many ideas as you want but there should be a description to match, I recommend posting all your ideas in one post to avoid clutter, if you post an idea or two, then later you think of an amazing name or something, please edit your post and ad it to the others, rather than posting again.

There is a cfl forum its called google lol..I got a name for ther forum for cfls "Cfl's Great for house bulb Replacement"

This is exactly what I'm talking about, peoples comments like the above .. nonsense, does nobody any good, I think people that post crap like this needs to grow up.
For the people who are serious please help us with a name and description, by posting your ideas, so we can get this forum going.

yup humboldt i need to grow up and grow those great quarter yielding cfl plants that takes 4 months to do and 3 times the cost of a simple 400 watt hid light..call me crazy

Anything that helps consolidate forum information is a good idea in my opinion... HID lighting is great but it wastes too much energy in heat discharge... I am all about greener means of growing... Or anything for that matter...
Maybee if i had a solar panel setup i could justify wasting all that power for a larger and quicker yeild...
Just opinions dont get all up in smoke about it... =P

There is just so much misinformation in regards to cfls.They are exspensive and if you use enough to grow and get enough for both stages your already more then a $99 digital switchable ballast which if run 24/7 a month costs about $20 on a bill.Now you buy some 23 watt cfls for your house you just made that $20 and more of your bill saved so your electric just went down for using the hid.Heat wise a 400 watt light gives very little compared to 10-12 cfls in a small box.The problems and cost of using not grow specific cfls just dont make any sense and thats why I joke about them when I hear noobs thinking they will get ozs from 6 cfls over 4 plants.

Dude its not that your point of view is wrong, I personally agree with you. Its the way you go about it, your trying to force feed people your opinions. Everyone has a right to do and think what they please whether it's right or wrong whether you agree with it or not, holy crap. What other choices should you make for us, should we grow in soil, hyrdo or aero. Should we be republicans or democrats. are we prolife or prochoice. You are and should always be entitled to your own opinion, but that doesn't give you the right to make it for others.

No need for mh/hps section, haven't you heard they have it under control
seriously though, I'm thinking since mh/hps are more advanced than cfl/flos that the appropriate forum/category would be "Advanced Marijuana Cultivation" section of the site.Any other ideas on a name and description? although I like deadheads' what do you all think?, most important, what does rollitup think?

Hmm weird both of you 2 have come to me before for advice and thoughts and now you both are so touchy.Feel free grow with clfs just make sure you dont ask for any other help from people who have done the cfl thing tested it several times,posted results and showed the reason why it is what it is.The point of this site is to share info and knowledge I am sure you have searched these forums and have seen the same 5-6 cfl questions asked and answered hundreds of times.Its a limited usage fro cfls and has been documented and proven.I gave facts that its not cost effective for its productivity that way there not 50 posts asking for help as my plants grown under 4 cfls dont seem to be very covered with buds and its kinda stretched.Maybe a cfl forum would be good so people who dont read, or research the forum wont ask those same damn 5 cfl questions.I personally dont care if you grow with flashlights go grow with cfls enjoy it;s just not a good way to grow and there are much better easier cheaper solutions yes even if you have a small grow space.Anyways I apologize for trying to add facts about what cfls are good for and alternatives uses for them to make them worth something so again Im sorry.Since this is a section for cfl nonnnbs Ill leave this last cfl comment.Please dont ask Fletch any questions about growing if your using cfls as I dont wanna hurt any feeling by stating the obvious.Good luck and good grows.Sorry again for the facts and suggestions...

Maybe there should be a general lighting section, then within that section there could be the MH/HPS section and the CFL section. Maybe we could call the CFL section, "Don't Tell Fletch", or " The lights are on but Fletch ain't home", something like that. Just a suggestion.
