Ace Seeds- Golden Tiger

Grew two plants under ceramic metal halides, what a waste of time. They grew huge and were perfectly healthy, yielded well and had a mandarin-ish smell, slightly spicy, oilier than sticky resin. After a long cure they did get you high, but I found the effects to be boring, no psychedelia. I can get more intense effects from much more manageable plants that flower much faster. Buuut it was only two plants, guess you could find trippy gems, a lot of people apparently have.

2 out 5 were males
got a little worried when 5 out of 5 lebanese were female

I was hoping for a male but I didn't get one. I have a nice female that I took some clones from so I can reverse one and pollinate the other for feminized seeds. That's fine with me. It's not a landrace so I can live with feminized seeds.

I switched them to 12/12 on March 1st so at least this one should be done by the end of June. I have another that's much more of a Thai pheno that is definitely going to take longer than this one and I have another one that's more Malawi that probably finish just before this one. I chose this one to make seeds with because it seemed like the best combination of both the Thai and Malawi from the plants I started.

These are the clones I'll be using for seeds. The one on the left will be reversed to pollinate the one on the right.

How did you like that phenotype? Any keepers this past harvest?

I really liked it. I didn't take any other clones other than the ones I used for making feminized seeds. It wasn't my best seed run as I got the timing off when the reversed pollen was ready. I ended up with a few dozen feminized seeds. I also pollinated half with a cross of mine I call BNG. Bruce Banger + Night Nurse/CBD God. I'm going to call it Golden BNG.

Nice, I made seeds using a "Black cherry soda" pheno of Plushberry and My old keeper but they turned out like neutered versions of the plant I loved, the time distortion where you can be sitting still for 5 minutes and feel like you did a half an hour of thinking. If I smoked enough I found that loss of inner monologue, visual acuity and color perception changed. None of that was passed on to the offspring I grew, they smoked like blue dream. Nice terps but lackluster upbeat hybrid sativa effect. I hope my current batch of males proves enough to offer for some hybrid experiments, it might be easier to breed using the male Golden Tiger rather than pollinating the very best golden tiger female.

How did your Golden tiger turn out? I just started 36 seeds after a bit of a schedule delay, I plan on pheno hunting for some keepers worth breeding with and updating this thread.

I'm on my 3rd grow of Ace Seeds Golden Tiger

Amazing smoke but such a finiky bitch on nutes

What nutes did u use?
Strength compared to other strains?

I keep cutting back and back and back on nutes and keep getting bad tip burn

Any help is appreciated my friend
What would your advice be for feed strength? I would be using Coco. Assume it's fine to run a normal amount of Calcium and Magnesium but just keep Nitrogen and Potassium low?

I grew out 1 or 2 GT and while strong, it was not so trippy or what I wanted. Not sure if I used all the 5 seeds I had of it, will look. I have a Malawi strain straight out of Africa right now. I have seeds, have not popped them. I feel I have run enough Thai strains to give it a good review. Nothing there out of several that wowed me, including the GT

Burmese from Indian Landrace Exchange is worth a look imo. About the best I have encountered for SE Asian strains. Trippy at lower dose, have not really cranked up the dose yet. It does have a pheno that appears to have hybrid genes in it. Blue calyxes on that one and a bit more dense buds. Not sure what the RSC Burmese line is like but I do have a pack of it.

The Burmese, is that the Burma Myanmar? I grew the GT, it was good but still searching for a better plant.
