A test in progress.... Miracle Grow soil vs. Fox Farms soil. Is MG really that bad?

yeah if i was going to screen all the balls out i think i would just buy the FFOF just because i wouldnt have to sit there and screen my soil before i used it. To me that is worth the extra ten bucks lol
 
no, doesnt look like it. but dont bust one ON your plant!!!! i did that on my first grow, and it stunted it a week or so, then it grew pretty good!

no i just dont like them i like to have more direct control over what is going on. Its a preference thing now that's not sayin that those balls hurt anything i just dont like em. thats all
 
Done this experiment recently. The mg is garbage don't wast ur time spend the extra buck for fox farm or vortex that's been proven legit time and time again
 
umm, craigdogg, you may want to read this entire thread sir, or ma'am. This was a non-fiction experiment, and the results are not the same as you may think.

Vortex soil? What haven't you been smokin?

The MG wasn't garbage, you just have no clue how to grow. I'll bet you couldn't grow a weed...... oh wait....

I started off a set of plants in MG potting mix 6 month feed... no issues so far, but i plan on using fox farm for my next grow... Didn't have the money for this one. I really thinks its all a matter of preference and opinion. It's all trial and error by user. I'm sure everyone will have different results... It's not like we are in a laboratory, where you can truly make sure there are no variables to possibly change the outcome. I wish everyone the best of luck with their grows, regardless of what medium or brand they choose.

p.s., unlike the other guy, I actually read through the entire thread, and found a lot of great info on here about using MG and whatnot. So thanks... :)
