A Newbies First Grow

October 27th and I still have one plant that has fresh pistils. I am so fortunate that the weather has remained mild, but lack of the summer sun is doing a number on her. Supposed to remain in the high 50s during the next 3-5 days with no frosts. But I am walking a thin line, and will most likely harvest her by the end of next week.

5oz jarred and curing in the basement from my big girl so far. Not even half done with her yet. Anticipating much, much less from the second girl that is somehow, miraculously still kicking it outside. I have spot harvested about from her the last week, but the bulk is still working it.

Pictures will be taken once total weight is jarred.

Final cure weight of 12.75 oz. in jars. Big sis paid some nice dividends for my first grow. This will last me a very long time and will save my family a shitload of money.
Quailty is amazing. Sticky and dank! Had a couple tokes before putting the kids down to bed last night and it was the most relaxed I had been during that time of night in a long time.

Now on to lil sis. She will not be nearly as generous, but she is a lemon strain and is very different from this plant. I anticipate maybe 4 oz. from her.

Nice. Something very satisfying about growing your own, eh? I was never comfortable with the idea of buying weed, even though I live in California, so I just never used it...now that I grow my own, I can indulge a bit and supply my mom, saves my parents a bit of coin.

Congrats on a successful harvest.

The cure process is moving along smoothly. Starting to get the real taste of the bud now when I toke up. 2 hits and I'm good. Able to still take care of the kids routine of dinner, bath, bedtime, etc. Exactly what I was hoping for with her from the moment I saved her seed.

GTA 5 has been a lot of fun as well after a couple of tokes!

Love the colors of my buds. And they are crunchy outer layer, moist and smelly once I start breaking a bud up. So sticky!!

Very lovely buds friend. Can't wait to see what you get going next season!
Thanks! Will probably buy seeds next year to better suit my environment and actually know what strain my harvest is. Winter will be spent combing these threads and narrowing down my decision.

But for bagseed that I only remember saving because the high worked with my hectic life, WOW!!

I am a month out from curing. The quality of my harvest is amazing. Rich, dense smoke. Smooth taste with great expansion in lungs. The main colas are especially mind altering. I could not be more happy with my first grow!!

Total weight between 2 plants comes out to just under 2.5 pounds. Now that I have a season of absorbing knowledge here, I plan on doubling that next year.

Regardless, I will never have to buy again. And that is the second best thing to growing. The best thing is smoking some kind ass bud that I grew. I love that feeling!

Bringing this back to life real quick. Starting to prep up for this grow season, even as a foot of snow remains on the ground a 40 mph gusts shake my house.

Spring is almost here in Wisconsin!!!!

I am researching topping, if anyone has some knowledge to drop. I want to focus on having 2 strong plants with max yield, so I am looking at topping during veg and tie down action.
