You and who's army? Folks really screwed up by not voting in Romney. It's now coming to pass, Obama is trying to destroy this country. Hell, I'm not sure what his foreign policy is. The situation in Syria being a good example.

After doing some research this 770 is uh, don't really know.

Got this from a blog:
I bet it's a "7702 plan". Suze Orman had a viewer ask about this the other night. She blasted it as "whole life insurance" being peddled under a new name. Here's an article outlining all the reasons to run away from this. As usual, the life insurance industry is engaging in deceptive advertising. I know we're all suprised by that.
I don't like life insurance policies and sure as hell don't like annuities....they're a rip off.

No way the gubbermint is going to take people's 401K's. They MIGHT take MyRA accounts if anyone is foolish enough to buy into that scam.

Soon as the gubbermint starts touching 401K's you have a revolution overnight. All markets would crash and defaults would happen almost immediately.

Would be easier for them to Cyprus the money as the laws have already been changed to make that legal for them to do. Faced with the choice of losing your nest egg vs losing a percentage of your checking account most people will vote for the lesser evil and then find a way to justify it to themselves so they don't feel like they got scammed.

Want to hide your money? Anyplace you put cash is going to lose value to inflation, plus if a default happens it will have no value. Might want to invest in real lawful money.

as a well informed electorate is key to the success of our constitutional republic and democratically elected representatives, folks like uncleben have me more convinced than ever that our republic is doomed.

401k? Retirement? Pension? Fairytales nowdays. This is the United States, might makes right. Many get screwed, look at Detroit and their city pension. When times are hard the rich fuck the middle class.

From a practical standpoint, the new MyRA accounts don't make any sense. That's because the target contribution demographic doesn't have any money left from their paychecks, even if they were so inclined to contribute to such a plan. Even if they did have the money, it is obvious to even the dumbest hillbilly that their "savings bonds" would be destroyed by inflation over time. Furthermore, as far as I know you can open a Roth IRA - a more flexible plan with fewer limitations - with low or no fees. So what possible purpose could the introduction of such accounts serve?

All holders of tax-sheltered accounts are in bed with the government, like it or not. While such accounts have only been nationalized in effectively insignificant countries, that merely serves as a model experience for much larger countries. No government genuinely believes that you can manage your retirement account(s) better than they can. Especially if they become in dire need of capital injections.
