Lookin good,
im currently doing 7 DWC 5 gals under 2 x 600s on my 5th week flower now vegged 4 weeks and topped on 3rd week veg + lucas formula GHE flora series.
hoping to pull 3-4oz off each.

cant wait to see how big these bubbler plants will get will 3kw of lighting.

i ordered a tent of ebay, a 6.4'x6.4'x6.4' tent with mylar. i had to spray the outside of it when i first set it up with febreeze, because it smelled like burning plastic.

after about a week it was all good. i never had to use a carbon filter, since the tent contained a lot of the smells, and had 6 plants going in it with a 600 watter.

its lined with mylar, and came with a waterproof bottom container. metal frame construction and everything. all for 165 dollars.

Secret jardin and homebox's are just the acura of honda, the lexus of toyota. they look nicer, but a honda is just a reliable and as durable as an acura, with a much smaller price tag.

oh and it is 100% light proof ;-)

sweet man this isnt your first grow is it? kinda just diving right into it if it is huh? good luck if it is, tell you what if it is your first grow your in the right spot to get all the info you need for a successful first.. if you have any ?'s feel free to ask..

yup. i dont do much hydro, but ill research it for ya. but ill be gone for a few days so itll be when i get back ;-) all this hydro talk and keif is making me want to run some bubbleponics on my next big grow

This is techniqally my first grow, ive tried it a couple times a few years back, but didnt have tha funds to do it right and ended up just lettin my brother-in-law grow it outside. I came up on some pretty big cash and figured i'd invest it into my life-long dream of growing my own personal herb;) (Me and my family smoke a lot)

Was thinkin about doin Super Lemon Haze tho, id really rather have more quality than quantity even if i did end up selling a few zips of it, and i hear SLH is tha shiiiiiit. But i dont know waht ima order yet, still havent bought tha seeds, waitin for my new visa to come in tha mail.

I figure id start with a few bagseeds i have anyway just to test tha right light height for closest node spacing to get tha shortest plant and most compact bud without burning tha crop, and also to mess aroung with topping/FIM'ing and LST.

And yea for sure man THIS IS THA BEST PLACE to get info on anybodys first grow if you know how to use it right (Just go on google and type - site:rollitup.org and whatever you want to know, and everything comes up, better than tha search button on here, or maybe im just used to tha google format:-P)

But yea im just using this thread to get feedback from yall and post how i set-up tha tent when i get all tha supplies and my camera. Ill have a link to tha journal when i get it all set-up.

For sure man,, if I have a question i cant find the answer to i'll definately ask it.

I know, i contemplated over and over about whether or not to do soil, I found out how to do DWC and thought it was tha shit when i seen them big ass root balls. Much cleaner than soil and easier to control, but also easier to mess-up. I went back to tha idea of doin soil as it was cheaper to get started, but then figured in tha long run DWC was cheaper since i didnt have to buy new soil every grow.

Anywayz, I guess I strarted this thread too early as i wont be gettin most of tha equipment till late next week. My car got towed and figured it wasnt worth tha money to go get it out, that piece of shit broke down on me at least once a week, definately not worth tha $300 for that old junker, so I had to order most of the stuff off ebay and they just got shipped today.

Im still on here everyday tho learnin somethin new that i didnt already know so i dont get too many surprises once i get started.

I officially vote that you dont post anymore. You go ahead with your $500 name oops I mean tent. I spent $100 for my tent and my plants have not complained once. They have a light over them, intake and exhaust fans, a reflective environment and it is light tight during dark periods. So what are your plants getting for $500 that mine arent for $100 except your inflated head about buying a name?

Im with big V on this one...if you paid $500 for a fucking tent, your retarded. i paid 82 dollars for mine, 2x4x5. and with the other $418 you can get a 400 hps light, a 6" fan with carbon filter and still have a few bucks left...lmfao...

and yes paying 500 bucks for a tent is crazy.

timmy, i would probably recommend soil first. the soil will act as a buffer, while in DWC, you mess up, and dont know how to fix it or fix it in time, you can lose your whole crop. id use 5 gallon buckets, with FFOF or Fox farms ocean forest lol. and you can use just that or amend it and mix some stuff in it. i like to use, 50% ffof, 40 % coco fiber, then an added 10% perlite. i also inoculate the soil, and add more earthworm castings and a little epsom salt. not much though. it worked great for me.

All that being said, if you still want to do DWC, then DO IT!!! haha. its your grow, and grow how you want to. it may just be a bit easier, until you get the feel for the plants and what they need to do soil, since a lot of your Micro nutes are already in it. also FFOF and the coco fiber are already PH'ed and you will only have to ph your feeding, and not have to regulate it as much, or keep it between 5.8-6.0
