Looks like a good set up, nice ventilation and exhaust. I had considered getting that kind of cabinet, but I took the easy way out and went with a growtent that has all the openings. Wondering about that odor eliminator, where did that come from and does it work? My plants haven't started smelling yet. Did yours smell during veg? Whats the smell like in the flowering stage? I probably won't allow mine to get as high as 3 ft. before switching to 12/12 because my grow tent isn't that tall. I'll do some topping or lsting to control the height. The difference in the rate of growth using the hps instead of the cfls is amazing, nice.

the odor eliminator is a bag of volcanic rocks that absorb odors in a large room for up to a year or more. have not tried it yet but it was 5.96 at home depot Product Information Error Page
so i figured i will try it. now i am using an odor absorbing gel that is at home depot for 3.97 that gives an orange scent and lasts about a month and it works good!!:blsmoke:bongsmilie thanks for writing lately it seems like knowone reads and reply's anymore

oh you're welcome, I know what you mean, sometimes it seems like people disappear for some reason. If you'd like, i'll post some pics of my nl#5 x haze plants, they have come a long way since being under the hps light. Wish they were closer to flowering though, its been kind of dry for me and I'd love to smoke a fat one lol.

i picked it up at home depot for 95.00. it is 6 ft tall 29 inches wide, and 2 feet deep. if you buy one i recommend one that is solid wood not particle board, when i built mine, the screws ripped out of the wood and the whole thing collapsed so i re drilled new holes and fixed it, but i was luckybongsmilie

Sweet setups guys.

I have a 5 gal bucket but it's only in a 48" inch high space. I didn't realize how big the bucket was going to look in there until it arrived from SH,
I have a feeling i'll have to grab a small tent for this thing.

Is it possible to either have the plant get to only 2 1/2 feet when fully flowered? & would that just be a waste of time? or could I try & plant 2 seeds in the same 5 gal bucket or will that cause for tangled roots, and stunted flowering?

I've seen the scrog method but in this small of a space (approx. 30" of actual grow room) would this even be a "worth while" move?

1 plant per bucket, otherwise they will fight over nutes and eventually one will be bigger and one won't get enought light:leaf:

Im subscribed and gave you +rep. I am doing the DWC bucket as well and learned by reading all these pages. errghh. My temps are high too and i've been worried. Seeing how you plant is turning out good at 80 degrees I feel a little better. Do you get temps from the res too? Mine stay a little under 80 like 75-78 degrees. I will chime in now and then to share notes and knowledge. I am also going to build a chiller out of a mini fridge for the res (you may want to as well.) Here are the plans. https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/173157-diy-chiller-plans.html

Gotta love it rollitup for all knowledge!!

keep your water at 65-70, to warm and it will grow algae, i don't know the temp of mine though, when i add water to my res i let my tap water sit out 24 hours and then put it in the fridge, then after a few hours i give it that:joint::hump:

Just read up the journal yesterday and kudos to you for the great grow so far. I too have 2 babies that have been vegging for 2 months now. Their growth over the last week has been amazing - almost an inch a day. They are now at 18" height and 20" height. The strains are Church and G-Bomb. I think they are both hybrids and were grown from seed (feminized). I got scared when I realized the huge growth spurt your baby is in now (6 ft !!!!). I waited to late to try to bend. I'm scared to prune or lst for fear that it's too late or will cause too much damage/shock. Anyway, I'm subscribing to your journal and will definitely rep you. How are the babies doing now? Any updates? What are your temps like now?

you can still bend or top, i topped mine by accident trying to bend it too much, and she is growing good still. i also recommend cutting off the lower branches if there is no way for the light to reach them, that way the floral hormones get sent to the top and colas get bigger:joint:

Yes I agree with removing the small growth to induce big growth on top where light is.:hump:

For your concern with Final Flush:

Per the Growers Bible it says flush with distiled or reverse osmosis water 10-14 days before harvest. It also states to use final flush if you use tap water which contains disolved solids or if you fertilize up to the last 3 to 4 days before harvest. I hope this helps..:leaf:

Also... I here molasas is good to use in later flowering to bulk up the buds.

Peace be with you! :joint:
