5 Gallon Bucket Bubbleponic N.L. x Haze Grow

So I Decided i needed to reset the room the plant has been getting so big that the hanging fans started sucking in leaves and chopping them up.Check out the new setup now. changed water. I Put 8 Teaspoons Of Each Of The Flora Series And some ph Down in 4 gallons of water. the ph is 5.5, and ppm 1580. So i put the space blankets back up and have (2) 15 watt 800 lumens each cool white flourescents on the right and left sides and the 150watt hps 7 1/2 inches away from the top of the plant. She is just under 3 feet tall. Starting to Smell good so i have some odor absorbing air freshener to help with that. :joint:

when she is done she will be 6 feet tall if you dont start tieing her down. seriously

literally tieing her main stalk and slightly bending her over ristricting her growth up. this way she grows sideways. this also allows light to hit other parts of the plant opening up more bud sites. theres a picture in the alaskan ice smoke report thread. that pic is what you need to do unless you have the room but then you end up really only growing one main cola bud because the light doesnt really get to hit other parts of the plant

Thanks for the info did some research and started to tie her down, she over bent and split. :spew:

i took a hanger and cut it into 2 small pieces and wrapped velcro around that as a splint. after that heals up i will bend some more but being more careful. Next time i will add the 8 screws around the top for tiedown points

All I grow in is 5 gallon buckets. Any help, just yell...How is the grow going?

Grow is going good so far nutes 8 teaspoons of each flora series, noticed water level dropping quicker now already added a gallon of water in the last day temp has been around 80 and at night 70. only about 2 pistils visible but more pods seem to be popping up. I tried to start bending, but ended up spiltting the main stem, so i splinted it up and now its all healed just a little fatter in that area now. should i keep raising my lights? :confused:

it is 41" tall and the 150 watt hps light is at 12 inches above that, and the 2 cfls are closer. any tips bending is out of the question and i don't want to shockiss-assk it by topping

so here are some more pics check out some of the leaf problems, lower fan leaves kinda droopy, and some towards the top have bent tips.also i used some coated twist tie material to tie up the branches that are growing wide. I Tied them to the center stem and am trying to teach them to bend towards the light more, we will see how it goes

So have you stuck that on 12/12 lighting yet. The plant about doubles in size during flowering, once you turn those lights out it starts to stretch. Since its so tall you don't want to really try and bend the main stalk, it will just break again, try and just bend the new growth( top 6 inches) that is flexible and shouldn't break, just tie it down to the plant itself that should be fine. You want to tie it down before you start the flowering, your main cola is going to be pretty big. If your desperate to stop it from getting to tall try and suspend a screen at the top of the plant and scrog.

Since your plant is so tall and your only using a 150watt you will want to get more light towards the bottom. Get some 2700k CFL lights 26watts should be good, put two on eachside towards the bottom that will help illuminate the bottom leaves and shouldn't add any heat.

All you would need to buy is two light sockets with clips $14 and two y splitters $3 and 4 26watt cfl's $5 dollars, and you can get it all at home depot or lowes. Then later you can use those lights for a smaller grow box to start veggin a plant while yours is flowering.

Other than that Everything looks really great.

Lower the water some, it doesn't need to be that high, the water in my buckets is about 2 inches below the netcups. They get oxygenated water and the roots above the water take in oxygen. I would really drain some of that out. my opinion

hey there dwc, nice going. i'm going to be following this very closely because I have some nl #5 x haze seeds to grow but i just killed three lowryders in my new dwc system, and i don't want that to happen again. I also just bought a 5 gallon bucket dwc like yours from e-bay. I just started a couple of brainstorm feminized seeds which i'm trying soil with for now. well, thanks for the information and sharing the grow, i like it.

ppm is at almost 3000 and ph is at 5.7
today i flushed the res and added 4 gallons fresh water, 8 teaspoons of each of the flora series, and then today for the 1st time added cal-mag plus 8 teaspoons :hump:

hey there again dwc, i was reading about that cal-mag plus, because of my last failed attempt and thought it could have been a deficiency of some kind. just curious about your reason for adding this to your grow when everything looks fine. thanks.

so i am trying to bend the main stem now towards the top and have tied it down because it is about 5 feet tall not + the height of the bucket so almost 6 feet tall. 1 thing i have learned is lst is the way to go. so here are some pics. voice your opinion please. i need all the help i can get. :joint:

just ordered some h202 thanks for the tip, its weird most places wont ship that product to CA. Today I added a 4 inch round micro pore airstone to add to the 1 - 3 inch airstone already in there. Tried A New Flavor Of Weed Today called Blue Dream, Its Awsome :joint:

When You Go into flower phase do you just use bloom nutes? :confused:

according to my gh flora series bottles i use 1 tsp flora grow, 2 tsp flora micro, & 3 flora bloom per gallon. On top of these nutes i have maxibloom in powder form and superthrive, and calmag plus. Do I Add Them All? Because thats what i have been doing. I Have read many threads but no luck HELP :cry:
