Hey J, nice pics again sir.
Ive got to ask though, on photo 7/11 the leaves dont look healthy on the plant. Is this because shes near her harvest time or is there another reason? and should mine go like this near the end?

Hey RsJay

Thanks for stopping by.

You are dead right the leaves arent too healthy there but she is in her final phase of flowering. They got a little burned around week 3-4 of flowering and i didnt expect them to recover. TO be honest im surprised they lasted on her til now. BUt they arent falling off thats for sure. lol I have also been gradually lowering the EC of the feed going in. I flushed her yesterday (monday) she will dry out for a few days then get another flush with plain ph'd water with molasses then dry out and harvest.

Like the title of this Thread said is Experiment. and i treated it just like that. Using gradual EC lowering and raising to see how they react etc Whenever i had any burning i didnt flush at all to correct just gradually lowered the EC and then after the burn stopped i gradually raised it back up.

I used this grow to see what could be accomplished using some EC control to swing things either in my favour or against me.

Once i go perpetual (hopefully before the year is out) i shall only be documenting one grow of the clones to show everyone what can be achieved with using a cheap nutrient IONIC compared to the hobbyist pack from ADVANCED NUTRIENTS.

This is something that im sure everyone will want to know about as it will be a complete side by side grow of the 2 brands.

" i do not claim to be or ever think that i am a master grower yet, I still make mistakes and also learn from them"

This experiment was just that. A learning curve to see what i can do.

For my 2nd grow from seed i would say 3.5oz from 1 plant isnt bad.

Didn't read all the journal but didn't dan disapear after a huge harvest.
That is correct Co1e.

He harvested 104.6oz of dry bud then dropped off the face of the earth lol.

He is back and will have a new thread started soon where he has 7mothers 150clones and a whole new modified room.

Cheers for the reply J, i was only asking as my leaves wasnt going like that and i was unsure if it was the plant taking the goodness out of the leaves for the final stages of flowering.
The EC meter has been a god send for me too, as when i knock up my canna nutes they are always spot on to the EC guide on the labels, but when the solution is recycled for the next feed,i check the EC levels every time and they are usually higher, where i guess they are getting extra nutes from the coco, and ive always got to dilute before i feed to get them back to the ideal reading again. If i didnt have the EC meter i know they would have suffered major nute burn and most probably would have stunted their growth alot. Another good lesson learnt from the Jondamon

if your EC is higher on the return it means your plants are using more water than nutes therefore you can reduce the concentration

Hope you all enjoy.

AS before i have taken pics of the main colas before and after trim up.

Enjoy.

Stay tuned in the next 7ish days for a SATIVA weigh in.

Anyone want to stab a guess at how many grams she will weigh in at?

i havent smoked any of her yet.

i think she might come in nearer to 3oz.

the buds and the colas are really dense and firm.

im thinking around 2oz from the colas then around 1oz from the other buds.

the trich's were around 20% amber.

i cant wait for her to dry. she was dripping resin when i was trimming her up. lol i went through three of those blue gloves and had to clean the resin off the trimmers about 5 times.

had sweet spliff of scissor hash earlier. hmmmmmm

I know that feeling very well my good man. Should have seen the thimble full of resin we collected when we trimmed up the lady's. That stuff rocks man. Its a bit harsh on the throat tho...

Hey Folks

Well i figured i had better do an update to let you all know im still growing lol.

Ok so we are now 2weeks into flowering with the ROCKLOCK.

She is standing around 14inches tall and has been grown on a 12/12 from seed experiment.

As you can see in the pics i cleaned her up about a week ago. I have also added pics of how she looks today.

She is sitting in a mix of CLAY PEBBLES and torn up Rockwool seed starter cubes. I am feeding her with FORMULEX from growth Technology and as you can see from the pics it has an NPK of 2.4-0.9-3.4.... THis is pretty close to the perfect ratio for flowering MJ.

Currently she has a feed strength of EC0.9. She has experienced a little burning due to me feeding her the EC0.9 too soon after i lifted her skirt. I should have ideally dropped it down a couple of tengths. So to compensate i have given her an 18litre FLUSH with CANNA FLUSH. She will have a feed of EC0.5 next time around and i will increase every 2nd feed by 2 tengths.

Now on a side note i have added some pics of some of the nugs i got from the SATIVA.

Lets just say that i was very dissapointed with the final dry weight of this plant. With the formation of the 2 main colas and the density i was expecting close to 3oz from her.
I was let down big time!!!!!!!!

44.6g dry.
Not even 2 ounces!

I dont have weighed in pics as i was so dissapointed.

I will add though that she is a fantastic smoke. Great heady high and a nice taste after only 3 days curing.

Hope you enjoy the pics and as always any comments suggestions or questions then feel free to ask folks.
