Hey folks

Well i am in the process of constructing my mother box.

I have all the wood cut up to the sizes in the diagram below. The front of the box will have hinged doors and the holes in the left and right side will have a 120mm APACHE PWM Super Silent 44CFM PC fan in them. The left side will be blowing IN and the right side will be pulling OUT the holes are at complete opposites from each other. ON the inside of the Left and right side fans there will be my 123mm Ducting brackets that i make in work with some ducting attached and positioned at the optimum position inside the box.

These are the new airpots that people are raving about,

So i figured i would get some to run testing comparisons once i go perpetual.

have also picked up my grodan seed starter cubes for my cuttings that i take.

Also check out my little 6inch clip on fan!!!! How cool is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesnt oscilate though :-(

Hey Folks

Lets just say that i was very dissapointed with the final dry weight of this plant. With the formation of the 2 main colas and the density i was expecting close to 3oz from her.
I was let down big time!!!!!!!!

44.6g dry.
Not even 2 ounces!

J
dose that mean i win lol i said 2oz

Not looking too bad, man. Excellent.

I just flipped mine to 12/12, 2 days ago. I can't wait to see how the smoke turns out. This is your first run with Rocklock, as well, isn't it? Any idea of the smoke quality?

I didn't forget. Don't worry, I know you're capable of growing some beautiful plants. I've seen 'em here, and was quite impressed. If I'd forgotten, I would've been getting on your shit.haha  I always like to see actual results of experiments, and have been thinking about doing one of my own, in a few weeks. I want to put an end to the "FF OF vs. MG soil" disputes, once and for all, with a side-by-side grow. If I do it, the only modifications I'll allow, is extra perlite added to both, so that they're about equal,(as close as I can get them, by eye) in that respect. Should be interesting if I go for it. Whaddya think?

if you can do it then do it!

I'm just a COCO freak lol dont really like soil.. i like my feeding schedule to be feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed

shit too much feed back the EC off a few points lol then feed feed feed feed feed feed feed feed lol lol lol lol lol lol

experimenting is why im hand watering clay pebbles and rockwool lol. just switched to coco bloom nutes instead of the formulex. She began N clawing a little so i switched but im leaning towards her lacking a little sulpher so i plan on adding a little GHE RIPEN next feed which has 2% sulpher so we'll see how she goes.

Damn man, you're going to talk me into coco, yet. In the meantime,...keep fine-tuning, so that when I decide to switch over, I'll mimic your grows, for a nice smooth transition.

If I can find a bag of MG at one of these stores around here, that keeps their stuff inside, I'll buy a bag of MG soil, if it's dry.(less risk of pre-acidity, and fungus gnats) The local nursery usually does, so I'll check there. Then, when I get my next generation into veg, I'll throw two of them into MG soil, and the rest into FF OF. Should be interesting, especially in veg, where I know I won't run into any problems. It'll clearly show which soil is the better medium, or if both are near the same. Flowering, is a different story. I haven't had a perfect run yet.lol Stay tuned....

lol.

trouble is it will be hard to really comparison test unless you feed each the same at the same time frames.

ive been reading an article in URBAN GARDEN MAG about carbs and amino acids and whether a plant can absorb such things via roots. .

i will post the article tomorrow on RIU very interesting reading. it appears alot of nute manufacturer's test their carb products by injecting it into stems and not via root applications .

i'll post a link when complete.

^Well, it'll mostly be to see if all the criticism about MG soil is BS, or not. Vegging for 4-5 weeks, will answer that, for sure. I won't be root-feeding them anything but Calmag, and will stick with foliar feeding, from there, until I'm ready to flip to 12/12.

Personally, I see them performing very similar, with a possible slight edge to FF.

Also, I'll be around tomorrow, and will be interested in seeing that link. Are you posting it in this thread, or in the Newbie Forum?

I'll probably post it in the Newbie central as it seems to get the most traffic. Unless you think i should post it elsewhere?

Hey Folks

Well i have been battling in my brain to decide what was happening to my rocklock. She has been N clawing on the little bud growth under the canopy and the canopy has been getting paler.

So i have decided that this was possibly a sulphur problem due to pH prob's...

I havent been precise on the pH's.

Have now given the rocklock an EC1.0 of FORMULEX and ran 18litres through her 6.5litre pot at a pH 5.77 just to correct the pH problems that i think i am having.

We shall see now whether there is a better improvement over the next 7 days. During which she will probably be fed 1 or 2 times in that time frame with the same that i flushed with.

Enjoy
