Upppddddaaattteee! :D 2 of my seedlings have now been planted into soil!

The first of them was the strongest of them all, no suprise there but the second one, is a seedling that I thought would grow a lot slower but its tap root poked out of the rockwool so in the soil it went! :)

I'm very excited to see the grow rate from now on since the soil itself contains nutrients so we'll see what happens each day. I'm expecting more growth but I know I shouldn't.

Here's a pic for you all :)

Yesterday I planted the two seedling that had their taproot out through the rockwool. One seems to have settled down quite nicely, shown groth and it's second pair of true leaves are forming!

The other seedling isn't however, even though it's taproot was larger. It's leaves are hanging down and it's either over or under watering. When I had the soil and seedlings ready, I poured PH'd water around the soil (Not over the seedling) to get it moits and some run-off just to make sure everything was good and moist for the first watering!

20160422_173346.jpg this little guy didn't take it too well though, if you see the leaves, they're "pointed" down by the middle, looks like somebody bent them down over something. I added more soil today, which I didn't wet so perhaps i'll just wait a day or two and see if that seedling shapes up!

20160422_173351.jpg This girl (hopefully) seems to love it though! Noticeable growth and moving along nicely! hopefully i'll be able to see it's next set of true leaves before this weekend is over!

20160422_173433.jpg 20160422_173452.jpg The third seedling has also shown it's taproot, but I don't have another smart pot to plant it in. It'll arrive this monday so i'll just keep her moist in the rockwool in the meantime.

Seems like it was the temperature that was a cause....it closed a window and the temp is now up too about 25.5C - 26C and the leaves are pointing towards the light! Hm, oh well - changes are good!

Update! :)

Been a while now, the plants are growing, two of them seem to be thriving and one of them, being planted in soil just 2 days ago probably needs time to root out properly to get the nutrients it needs to grow. I'll post pictures when I get a chance, when the light is turning off.

I've also decided today to order a LED light from Platinum lighting. It's the P4-XML2 which, according to them, is the same as a 600W hps/mh. Since i'm only running about 3-4 plants at one single time, it's enough for me.

Over the course it's been quite difficult getting the temperature under control. Since I can't bring fresh air in, since that would bring it down to about 22-23C which slows down growth quite a bit and not bringing in cooler air gets the temperature to about 28-29C. So the HPS/MH is really a problem for me so hopefully the LED solution will work in my favor. I should recieve it next week to i'll post some pics then with the HPS switched off :)

I'll keep the HPS around with the bulbs and everything who knows, might move to a house and then one could run a two-spaced tent :)

Anyways, RH% is stable at around 60% which the plants well, I can't really say what they're thinking about it - they've mostly reacted negatively towards high/low temperature, the RH% has been quite stable since I got my humidifier up and running.

One of the plants is now working on it's 3 set of true leaves! Quite exciting :)

Until next time!

Just a quick notice today. The tent smells distinctly of weed now. And it's only been well, about 1 week since they broke the soil or something.

I can't imagine how it's going to smell when they flower :D

So!

After a long quiet session, it's time for an update!

I've received my LED light from platinumLED and my it's heavy, feels durable and well, my plants responded very fast and with the leaves pointed towards the light! Need to give it a few days/a week to see how it performs. One thing I can say though, my temps are wonderful and stable! So now I can go to work without being worried about coming home to over 30C in the tent haha.

My plants are coming along nicely. Yesterday I gave them a bit of biobizz of about 400ppm so not that much but better to start small and correct than to overfeed. No yellowing of the leaves so I'm happy. On the pics, it seems like the leaves are drooping - that's because I misted them down with some water before so nothing to comment about :P

Of the 3 plants, one of them is growing quite a bit behind than the others, not sure why really, since that was just a normal seed (no the one I tampered with) so right now, unless it explodes in growth, i'm not really expecting any big yields from it.

Here are a few pics of the (hopefully) ladies and one of the LED light :) enjoy and i'll see you next time!

Thank you! :) I was a bit too hasty when I said that they responded very fast. Well they did, towards the light but to my eyes, they haven't grown a lot during the whole day. Perhaps this is to them getting used to the intensity or something else. I'll see tomorrow if they've grown anything during the night.

Noticed today when I was checking out my biggest plant that those little white hairs have started to appear on a few nodes.

Is this possible due to me running the blue and red spectrum at the same time? The plant isn't very big yet so i'm sure it'll grow taller but I haven't even had them for 3 weeks yet. Check out the picture below! :)

to my knowledge white hair development is a normal sign of a female plant, the hairs are where the plant would be pollinated ;)

Yep! I'm just wondering why it's happenening so soon, or perhaps it's just normal for such a young plant and there's still ways to go before it's mature. It's not even 3 weeks old haha.

That is about the time the autos will start showing sex, and then start to flower. I thought mine was showing pistils when she was to small and then both just started to take off in growth. Your looking good though keep it up.

ive got a couple autos and mine have just know started to grow pistols all over. All started at the same time and 2 of them are growing out of control over 20 inches at 4 weeks old. Not really sure what is wrong with them the biggest one is a mutant and it has pistols all over. This is my first grow and feel like I can't control any of it.

Wow! Sounds great! :)

All of mine has started showing their sex, all of them are female as of right now (can it change or is it final?) but i'm not seeing as much growth. I'm at week 3 (going into 4) and i'm starting to give nutes, im thinking the soil has done it's think (nutes in the soil go about 3-4 weeks depending) but none of them have exploaded.

Care to share some pics or your ladies? :)

I would say by week 4 or 5 they should do their stretching but it will happen soon. This is my blueberry when she was 3 weeks and the week after. She just really took off from there.
