I'm trying to move from a closet to a metal storage cabinet and have some questions to set my expectations. I'm trying to downsize in my life and don't smoke too much pot but would still like some for the weekends and such. I'd say about 4/5 oz's per run of 3/4 months each would suite me fine. Do you guys think it's possible to get that much in a Cab this size? And, for you guys running leds what are you running in cabs this size as far as how many watts and color temp? I'm planning on running bridgelux strips and though 300 to 400 watt would be ok but maybe 250 watt would work to...that's just it I'm coming for a closet grow and trying to figure this out without going overkill like I usually do. I want something small that's secured with a lock but also doesn't look out of place and isn't too heavy. Instead if building a wooden cabinet I figured a metal one would do but the the most common size that a decent price seems to be a 36w x 18inch depth so I'm hoping I can pull off something decent in there. Here is the cab an lights I'm looking at. Thanks!

What about ventilation?

What about ventilation?
I already have this fan and was hoping on using it, the current filter I have is a phresh filter but it might be too large so hopefully I can find a pancake filter to work with this fan, or I'll be looking for a new fan. I'm open to new ideas on fans and filters but this cabinet will be self contained so everything will be inside it. The fan I just posted is a silent model and it pulls good and is very quite and very well built. I'm not sure where I'll open up the exhaust hole ...perhaps on top at the back or just on the back itself. My main goals are to get as small as I can to meet my needs but also to be secure in both the physical security a have it as inconspicuous as possible with proper odor control.

Also, I was planning on manifold or lst for the grow technique so I can grow a few strains at once. Like the cabinet I want to have the smallest plants possible with enough bud to meet my needs. I figured maybe one once to maybe two per plant might be possible. I was thinking before the metal cab to build a fish tank stand and put the grow cabinet space in there all enclosed and looking like a regular fish tank stand on the outside then have it pull open with maybe some heavy duty draw slides.

Why don't you get one of these? You can take the shelves out and grow 2 small plants in it... Grow autos cause they stay pretty small... Its 35in high, 16in deep, and 25in wide... You can find one pretty much anywhere... Its almost like my tent, which is 2x2x3...1533349332650217980677.jpg

I have a larger one for kitchen stuff. I don't like it, it's not secure and I want something a more robust which is why I was going for the metal cab or just build one out of wood.

You should be fine.

I can JUST squeeze in 2x 11 litre builders buckets in my 28" x 15" cabinet so you should be able to get them in ok in your metal cabinet.

Growing 2 autos with 154w of household led bulbs, I expect to get at least 4oz total every 3-4 months, and have got nearly 8oz before with 2 Mephisto sour livers, so again your required yield should be doable. Especially as you will have twice the height I am working with, I only have a 32" high cabinet!

If I was to start again I would use strips or similar rather than the bulbs, but they do the job.
