Thanks man. My friend is the one running this and so far he likes the timber kits the best and he's a long time HID grower. Me personally I like the CLWs. This isn't a light vs light grow because I started half when I was there and he started another half so not comparable. The next grow will be as much as a light comparison as one can get from all fem seed plants. Currently the 4 timber kits are running at about 32w a sq ft while the CLWs are spread out to about 28w a sq ft but should be at 37.5 instead

So that doesn't really tell us shit at this point.

Both lights are awesome. Only draw back is HID keeps everything warm in the winter. The quality and density of the buds are unmatched compared to HID.

Im not familiar with the newoghts by clw but I dod have a few grows with their ss440 (before cob technology was popular) and I was pleased with the results. So I could imagine that they'd put out a newer better product.

Def cool. With controller you can select the output of the red blue and white LEDs. Be interesting to see how less blue effects the plant after stretch. They have a great return policy which is best I've ever seen. I sure don't want to return the ones that I have. Wish I had more. But I also wish I had more timber kits.

How easy/hard did he say the timber kits were to put together? Im not good at constructing stuff like that. Plus I have very little time to take on a project like that.

@hotshotisdashit If you are interested in a Timber Grow Light but don't want the kit, then they can still hand-build you a light. They were offering several models but they got so many orders for their kits, they had to concentrate on filling those orders and put the pre-fab fixtures on the back burner. If you connect with @RainDan then he can let you know what's available.
This is great info.

Hi @hotshotisdashit

Our kits are very easy to hang - they come pre-wired and ready to attach to a frame of your choice. We also have frames available if you need assistance and can customize a light to meet your specs and budget needs.

Happy to assist - let me know if you have any questions.

Have a good weekend.

Regards,
Dan

and its NOT hot air. ive been working with them for years and any time ive had an issue they crushed it.

earlier solarstorms had quirky stuff- they had a batch of bad white diodes that dropped out and they replaced every fixture with 2015 osrams for me - and paid shipping both ways. their new design is very impressive i have yet to dim it down and take par measurements dimmed but thats on the list... if they ever become idle ;)

Same deal for me. I had a couple 440s. Had an issue with one and THEY contacted the store i boughtbit from in Canada and worked out an exchange deal instead of me sending it in for warranty repair. I was without that light for as long as it took me to unplug it and drive over. Good thing, i was mid flower...

Thank you.

In my opinion, i dont know why so many buy this Kits/Cobs at a Company, cause you can also buy those Kits at Alibaba also from Cree. Its absolut the same Kit with the same heat sink and the same mounting material. You prefer the cheaper one and buy a Bridgelux or Epistar Kit at Alibaba. It makes no difference as Europeans, whether one ordered this product in China or from America

Link your references. Shipping usually negates aluminum sinks from china. Also timbers warranty and kits are set up so everything's done just gotta mount them on something.
