Hello, All.

I am presenting a grow using 3 of the California Light Works SolarSystem 550s (400Wx3) and 4 of Timber Grow Lights 200 WATT CREE CXB3590 (4) COB KIT (200Wx4)

Currently in week 1 of flower. Total of 24 plants with 3 remaining males to be removed soon. This grow is ran by my friend who until recently receiving these lights, has only ever grown using HID.

Take note: This is not a light vs another light, Most are from seed except for 6 clones and most plants are trimmed using the manifolding technique. the CLW uses 1200 watts at full power and the Timber Grow Light kits use 800. Sq ft for CLW is 32 and for the timber grow light kits is 25.

I'm mostly excited about this grow because the grower is an experienced HID guy so seeing his opinion will be very interesting.

will have more pics in a couple days.

so far growers comments are how with led hes finding lots of moisture under the overlapping leaves and was wondering if it'll be a PM threat. I told him its normal and I never had a PM issue while growing in the basement. but so far he likes them a lot compared to HID but it all really hinges on how the flowering goes. cant wait!

That moisture will create holes in the leaves. Add more air movement.

Warning: Im a huge noob on his first grow, all of that this is hearsay.

I read somewhere the ambient temp in your room needs to be higher with led than hps to maintain same temp at leaf. Even allowing for the differnce in total heat output theres much, much less heat radiated to the leaves with LED.

The leaves will be the coolest thing in your room, causing lots of condensation.

theyre really filling out. Seeing the benefits of manifold technique. floor space is near max for the 57SQFT. plants when done with stretch will be 3-4.5ft tall. I'd be happy to see 2oz per plant but not holding my breath.... again this is the first ever run of LED lights for an established HID guy. so far its looking good

I've completed three cycles through my tent with COB lights. The two times that I had moisture form between leaves it was followed by PM. I used GreenCure to knock back the existing PM, then LOTS of air flow and a dehumidifier to keep it gone. I found that the smaller turbo fans blowing up from beneath the canopy helped keep the moisture from building in the lower shady areas.

PM mitigation measures are in place. chamomile tea garlic and tea tea oil all work great if there is any also

Man this is nature and technology coming together in spectacular fashion. I'd be spending a lot of time in there!
I would be in there too if I could all day long.

There is another 400 watts of power available. So either another clw ss 550 or 2 TGL kits or IDK

did you guys get the controllers for the SS550's? supposed to be able to mimic sunrise/sunset like Heliospectra

also, how would you compare the Osram (is it the 2x2 model?) against the CLW so far??

does he have the white band turned down? my 550s are *a lot* whiter than that they barely look like blurples
