One thing about this MegaCrop nute above and beyond the Dutch Nutrient Formula (DNF) I used for a long time from Home Grown, the dammed buds are standing straight up and hardly not even falling over! I attribute it to the potassium silicate formulation in the MC. I never could get it right adding it as an additive by itself.

Are you finding it lacking in M
Or have they added more?

I’m adding Epstein salts

I always used RO+De-ionized water, basically lab grade water filtration. For that, I always added calmag, with MC it was at 40% of manufacturers recommended dose + MC at whatever g/G.

Now I am using lakewater from the lake, in my hydro setup as a total experiment. Well, it seems to be working ok as the photos suggest. I do use HydroGuard to make use of the organics in the water. I DO NOT need to add calmag to the lakewater, it is 0.2-0.4EC, but contains enough calmag.

I use RO @10ppm ish , was adding cal/mg , then switch to just the salt .
Was thinking about going 50/50 RO/Tap , or back to tap for a bit.

Must be nice living on the lake
N it’s probably over flowing with fish ,
Lucky guy .

We'll see at the height of summer, I think as long as I chlorinate (shock) hard enough, I won't have any worries as long as no one dumps any weed killer in the lake near me. lol. We are all not really into that here, plus it is illegal, although that never stopped anyone.

I just started using shock in my cloner due to some issues.
What ratios did you use to mix?
I used 1.3 grams of 70% shock for 1 gal.
Then to use it's 1ml per gal of that solution in my cloner.
Seems to work.
Cheers

Definitely something you need to watch algae blooms could be another thing to watch for .
Wish you luck, if I had a lake I’d try it too.

Sounds right. For that volume a few drops of Bleach works too. Every 40 gallons I make I use a gram right now roughly 4-6ppm. I would increase that in the height of summer when the water I am drawing from the lake is 72 or more degrees I think though.

where you get earthworm castings?
From a place called pagoins live bait.
Worm farm.
Plus it’s the same place that I get my yards of soil that comes amended already.
I bought lots of bags of castings cuz I use it in my water like a tea bag.
Last year I should’ve taken some pics of my cherry tomatoe garden that I fed with worm casting juice and the garden blew up with hundreds of tomatoes.

Here they are in their new homes!
They are looking at little shocked lol.
I did notice some root rot on one plant probably a combination from needing a bigger pot and the colder weather at night so far. Hoping it’ll bounce back with its new home and warmer bed.
