wark sorry that pic.... its so basic lol...

ok so see mine.. what you want is only two sets of leaves onit...
then when the 3rd set come through chop em off
as u can see in the second pic thas where my 3rd leaves came through but i chopped off the top so only the nodes growing now..

its so easy and if u want a 6 cola plant leave 3 sets of leaves and so on...

in the shabby bodge up paint jobby that i drew...
u can see what i mean i think chop off at the redtellow an green lines so take the whole top off;-)

Thta Hesi root complex you're using is basically canna's version of rhizotonic, i only use that for cuttings andwhen i transplant to get over the shock,

you're spot on with your comment about the Hesi dilution rates, im currently testing out some Hesi Coco nutes on 2 of my plants, im using it on 1 sssdh and 1 ecsd, i have more of these being fed Canna coco a&b to see if there is any difference and i found at the dilution rates they recommend, 5ml/l was only bringing my feed to 1.3ec, i had to add another 3ml to 4ltr of water to take it up to 1.4ec, doesn't go a long way when you look at it like that especially when canna only needs 2.5-3ml to get it to 1.4ec.

Get yourself an ec pen and you can't go wrong, i've found with canna you don't even need 1.

Plants are looking spot on though bro, i've always gone by gpw's and as a new grower you should be getting atleast half a gpw (gram per watt) when you start getting to know the plants thats when you start getting closer to 1gpw, when you start going vert thats when you start smashing gpw's like 3-4. Check out a grower called UKCheesehead, he pulls 15-16-17 oz from his 400w, lots to be learned from that geezers skills when using a small space.

Subscribed dude

Hello Spock, thanks for your advice and for dropping by,im just off to the garden centre now for a ph tester and some cane rods,i have a nice breeze blowing through my tent but it seems to be slightly bending the stems, its a ballache keep turning them round,as for the nutes i haven't give them anything as they do look healthy.last 2 feeds ive only given them water :)
Cyrus you mad man,i bet you could have died haha

Ok i have a question peeps....my plants are 21 days old from seed tomorrow, they are currently between 7 and 9 inches tall and are potted in 11ltr pots, how much water should i be giving them per plant?....is there a certain quota or is it dependant on each plant?....cheers all

I water untill i get a little run off, add the water slowly then leave 3 or 4 days depending on plant & temps, I use a moistuer meter only cheap any garden centre, when at 30% I water.
Some people like to give them very little water but every day.
As long as you let the soil dry out before next watering you will be OK.
Let them bend & keep turning them it will strengthen the steams, steams need to be strong to hold all that bud!!! caine & tie them when in flower if bud becomes to heavy.

The more water the better I say. You want the soil to get completely saturated and excess water to pour vigorously out of the bottom of the pot. As roots process nutrients they produce salt which needs to be washed out of the medium. Salt buildup leads to sad looking plants. I pour until there is standing water on top of the soil and keep pouring until I see water coming out of the holes in the pot. You can't drown the plant this way. That only comes from repeatedly watering before the soil has time to dry out. So as long as you are lifting the pot and letting it get light and dry between waterings you could pour as many gallons as you want through there. This can be a little expensive once you start to use a good amount of nutes so a good rule is you want 15% of the volume that you pour in to run out of the bottom. But for now since you are just using water pour away my friend.

Straight up and down bangin bro, for 20 days they look superb are you sure this is your 1st grow?

How long ya gonna veg em before ya flip 12/12 then m8, i'd probably let them get to 18", perform a lil topping on them and some lst, let em veg another week to get over stress from the topping and flower them ho's.

Can't wait to see how the Hesi performs aswell, very pricey stuff though that don't go vert far.

Peace and oh yeah uk reppin hard all day evey day,

Hi Mared
yea they lookin good aint they....I'da prolly burnt em to death with nutes without your advice.Tnx
I've been giving them 1litre each every couple of days, been checking to see if the pots are light first though. The temps are a steady 78-79f and the humiditys always around the 35% mark.the lights are still around 20inches away so i think all in all things are going well so far mate :)

Hello spock
tnx for the comments...I'm a happy camper so far.I can assure you this is my first ever grow but i must say that i would probably still be trying to germinate them without this site and the people here
I'm gunna grow em to around 18inches before veg....Now initially i was gunna top em but having looked around the last few days and digested some advice ive changed my mind again  lol
I'm going tall!....Quantity is not an issue for me..its quality im after.....I think i lost sight of that after reading other peoples journals and seeing some spectacular grows.

Bah i hate weekends......i know damn well im gunna be in and out my grow tent every couple of hours....I like to come home from work and see em after 10hrs or so and see the change in them.....I'll get my missus to padlock the door haha :bigjoint:

Yea I'm gonna look into that hesi root complex and supervit. Your seedlings look better than my most recent ones and I've been growing for a year! I've always struggled with seedlings though. They're so much easier to take care of when they grow up. So things look great for you, WK. What I consider to be the most difficult part is over. Notice I said "difficult" because like the song says, waiting is the hardest part LOL.

Ive been running that root complex 1/4 strength from seedling in EVERY watering also added i 1 droplet of supervit per 2ltr of water, both these bottles are still pretty much full..the last 2 feeds has been only water,i still have the tnt complex and powerzyme for the vegging process but i havent even touched these yet....I'll wait till its broke :)
