1st Grow 9x Euforia DP Recirculating DWC *PICS* Criticize and Advise PLEASE!

I don't know how sold you are on your beneficial bacteria, but I am pretty sure zone will do a lot more to combat bugs like that. Dutch Master Zone will zap larva so I hear. Now I haven't tried it first hand because I've never had bugs in hydro yet, but I do use Zone and I have had no problem in my root balls even with terrible temps in my rez.

I am no bug expert, but I think those may be thripes (not positive). They're definitely not gnats, if they were gnats there would be larva on the roots, not fully mature bugs. Fungus gnats are one bug I do know quasi-well. Adult gnats lay eggs in your medium. The eggs hatch and the larva chow down on your roots. Once the larva turn into adult gnats they live another 13 days, this is the time they lay more eggs in your larva. Adult gnats do not eat, so the only damage adult gnats can do is lay more eggs and make more larva. But whatever they are Azamax should take care of it. I've only used Azamax in soil (for both spider mites and fungus gnats) and it worked wonderful. I've heard of people using Azamax in hydro, but you may want to double check before investing in a bottle of Azamax, it's not super cheap.
I'm using microbe brew as my bene bacteria...and after doing extensive research and confirmation from other members I'm 99% sure they are Root Aphids, the suck juices from your roots...anyways I'm going to employ a 2 stage wave of destruction. First circulate Bayer Addvance citrus throughout entire system 7ml per gal. Secondly, gas the lil fuckers with mosquitoo dunks...ill wait 3 days and repeat at half strenght if they are no visual bugs..honestly you all I'm starting to feel that this grow is going to be a fail, from the start it was problems and hasn't gone good since, I'm going to ride the week out and see how it goes from there...

owned, thats what happens when you add a backyard plant in the system without soaking the roots in water first and making sure only the roots go into the system, you got dirt in the system and the aphids just breeded and are stunting your plants growth via eating the roots

Everything he has listed is necessary, using only the lucas formula only gives you the base nutrients. You still need macro and micro nutrients, additives, bacteria, enzymes, vitamins and so on. If you are growing for fun then yeah the lucas formula will work, but if your serious about growing then you need all the essentials in maximizing your plants genetics (i.e. various nutrients and additives)

Not a big deal though everyone starts out as a noob in the beginnning
horrible information. your retarted. the black stuff is called what?? floraMICO and why the need for enzymes bacteria vitamins? or additives? the nutrients are synthetic and chleated. and why do you get off calling everyone a "noob" and why the need to talk shit to someone who just lost his garden.. your a hydro retailers wet dream.

Here is some current photo of whats going on with the grow...since this posting one of the smaller girls has died and showed zero roots coming out of the net pots...also another girl is looking very bad her leaves are wilted throughly....:wall: oh yeah and i decided on the nutradip trimeter the EC model, kinda sucks cause im used to ppm, other than that...its sik wit it! my EC looks really high because when i flushed i flushed with tap instead of RO i dont think that it would make a difference if i used RO water. the EC of the tap is pretty high over 200 ppm. I also got a new 120/240v 600 watt dimmable lumatek with a sunsytems reflector, 600w Ushiro. My brother and I are getting ready to start a 13x Reserva Privada "Headband" Clones, which we will do in 5 gallon pots hand water, with Botanicare CocoGro Loose...we will most likely go with Botanicare Nutrients not to sure if we will go 100% organic...any input on going 100% organic Vs. non organic would truly be appreciated! We plan to do this grow BIG! Stay Tuned. I will start a new thread for this grow when the clones come in on the March 12th!

HIya dude.

Looking at the yellow tips i would say a little too rich on nutrient...you probably now that.
I think for your strains you need quite a high ppc of around 1.8-2.0, do you have a nutrient tester?

Which strains are you doing at the moment? HAve you havested anything off last batch? what was/is it like?

sorry i havent got loads of info but can certainly share some u.k tactics with you, like low stress training, topping heads, co2 blasters and even a bit of UV in the area can seriously increase yield and crystal production.

Coolio

HI dude,

Just seen these more advanced pics, your ppc seems good to me.

I would aks if possible, could you increase the pot size? are they 20litre pots? or 15 i am assuming?

top feed drippers are pointless once the roots hit the water also you will have alot of salt build up in the hydroton from the nutes my dripper is directly in the 5 gallon buckets.

Looks like the last time EmeraldBuddah was on this website was July 2011. I'm not sure he will respond to you. Good luck with everything.
