Sounds pretty slick man. Just did some reading and she looks like it'll be a simple thing to do. I can get some chewing tobacco here and boil it up. Any other tricks to make it more effective or is the stuff just good?

Went out and asked around for Tobacco today, I got tobacco dust, I just added it to 1.5l of water. I'm gonna let it stew until tomorrow evening and then filter it. I figure I'll add a bit of soap, and maybe stew some garlic too... Make a concoction that wards off mites and vampires as well lol.

Any thoughts? Tobacco and Garlic?

I've hand washed fan leaves in lavender soap. If you are just finishing up flowering it def gives the plant a bit more time. If you have a ways to go you would have to do this several times to keep them back.

Hi everyone.

I have a question...

Can you take clones off a budding plant? As I'm outta seeds... I figure just before I'll harvest I'll cut a bunch of clones and see if I can keep it going. :dunce:

Also as I spent a long time looking for CFL's and only found one store that had anything bigger than 12w. The max watt is 65w CFL. Will this work for clones? Or should I buy two. I am currently looking for M/H lamp and balyst as I found a 250w MH bulb... I was thinking about making an easy cloner, and then veg room maybe grow 2 plants a month... Veg 24h for one month, chuck outside for 3 months under 12/12 sun. It'll get interesting in another 2 months when it gets really hot here. 45c+

Do u think there is a hydro store that would ship nutes and rock wool to west-africa? I'd love to do an ebb n flow grow outdoors?

So many possibilities with natural 12/12 light.

As far as I know, it is possible to clone a flowering plant but it is very stressful on the clones and will take them a long time to revert back to vegetative. It is easier to revert the mother plant back to vegetative first and then clone it. This is all from stuff I have read/videos I have watched and I do not know this from personal experience. Hope it helps though.

I almost exclusively take clones from flowering plants. When flowers form they cause the compaction of nodes. If you take a cutting from a flowering plant the compact node spacing really helps the clone bush out. They do take longer to revert to veg though.

Clones taken from flowering plants:

Compacted nodes growing out - notice the 3 pronged leaves due to it coming out of flower?

Ends up nice and bushy without having to top or LST:

Let me know if you want me to get rid of these pics.

Thanks a bunch man.

The pics r sweet, I am stoked to cut a few clones in a few weeks. How do you find them for rooting as I don't have rooting powder. I'll see if I can find something like that, but I am not sure yet. I know I can just put in water with nutes and pray she starts up again. Where is best place to cut clones on the flowering plant?

Dude this is a siccccck grow. Never thought they would be so adaptable. 40+c is just nuts. Where i am from it gets to a max of 30 degrees and thats a freaking phenomenon. And i am 5 degrees north of the equator. Hot AND Wet go figure
Starting a grow aswell once i get my seeds. A pure sativa or a sativa dom. Should grow pretty well. Here we have the same light cycle as you 12/12
And once again awesome grow man. Hope you get some goood stuff off her :eyesmoke:

Hey Guys n Gals,

It's been a while since I posted up on her, I was kinda scared and working a bit too much lol.

Good news is she is coming back around from when she got a bit cooked from the pesticide. I took the tobacco to it, and it seems to be keeping the pests at bay.

She lost some hair when the pesticide didn't work so well, but they seems to be coming back again. It is evening here, so I can't get a decent shot of the bud development in shitty lighting. However I've got the pics here below. There is some some signs showing from the pesticide, and I took some decent close ups of some leaves.

She is yellowing on the bigger leaves, but this has happened from basically day one as I think she is reacting to the heat. All I know is that she drinks shit loads of water now.

She is like a solid colum of bud growing inside. It's a rat nest of buds, with I figure about 6 weeks until she gets chopped. I'm super conscious about the fuking mites still as I think I have about 20+ flowers on my balcony, and they are all getting tobaccoed. LOL... That shit smells terrible though. :spew:

This one shows the yellowing and burn from pesticide... Fuck... :dunce:

Trying to show the inside of the plant for buds, but flash is shitty lighting.

Inside is like 5 times thinker than this now.

And of course the mug shot

Bon soiree.

Nute, thats n deficiency, looks nice btw.
Thanks... Well I guess I'll chuck some goat shit on top of the soil when I water here next. Maybe I'll mulch up some banana peels again and see if it perks her up a lil' bit.

I took some pics today of her budding... :blsmoke:

Here they are.

I've taken some shots of the leaves as well that are yellowing and browning.

Bonjour tout le monde.

Just wanted to post up a few pics from noon here. I decided to click them when the sun is at the highest point. I also wanted to show the new bud grow since I changed her position on the balcony. I put her right in the corner now not shadowed by the top balcony.

She is a little heatscore, but I don't think too many people really know what a Indica plant looks like here. They are all way to a customed to towering sativas with skinny long leaves. Not short stubby little bushes.:leaf:

N jus 4 u widowess... U can see some of downtown Africa lol. :fire: Notice lack of anything green. All orange as per the fucking heat baking everything down to solid clay... poor little kush plant...

Also please take a look at the last pic. It is showing the yellowing coming out. It is mainly on the lower leaves. I am wondering whether to trim the lower leaves back and let the top fan leaves n buds take up more nutes, or will this be detrimental in some way? I can also just sit back and watch the buds get more crystally and fatter lol..???
