100w MH & a 70w HPS. Wut do you think?

Ok this is what im wondering... If im working with an area that is 3' wide x 2' deep x 3' high(my veg room, would a 100watt Metal Halide and Reflector be ok? Its not much room to work with but i gotta go with wut i have.

My other room(flower room) is 3' wide x 2' deep x 3-1/2' high. Would a 70watt HPS be enough light?

Just thinking about rebuilding my mini grow room which i'd like to accomidate about 6 plants at a time.:eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:
 
only 6 in each room at one time... keep it in rotation. 3 - 70watt? in an area thats only 3' wide x 2' deep x 3-1/2' tall> isnt that gonna be too much? wont i run into heat issues? its in a closet thats the only reason i ask... wont have a lot of room to run much of a ventilation system
 
its the light penetration into the plant you want and your not going to get any thing yeild wise of your girls. is this grow somthing you have to keep hush hush.if not and you can cut to hole in the closet door 1 in the bottom anf 1 in the top. screw a couple of fans to it. inside for the ex. and ouside for intake air. if you can't cutaholes in the door the get a piece of plywood and make a temperary door.

Yes you will run into heat isssues, trust me, thats the nature of the best, you will have to vent, or cool, or do something to bring temps down
 
run a 250 watt cooltubed hps for that space use mylar and a good strain with good nutes and you willget a heavy ass yield
 
ok well i cant be cutting holes in my closet doors lol that would defeat the point of it being a stealth grow... chances are i will probably try to build a cabinet for each room that is maybe 3' wide x 2' deep and about 4' in height, would 150 hps work u think? that way i could cut about 6 holes in the cabinet for 3 intake cpu fans and 3 outtake cpu fans... this should properly circulate air right? and my girls will still be getting more than just 70 watts of hps.... how does this sound?
 
reason being why i cant cut holes in my closet door is because once in a while my 4 year old nephew and my girlfriends 3 year old son stop by my house often and i dont want them finding this setup

thats why i asked if you had to be hush hush.thats to bad. then all you can do is buysome cfl's.this will prevent the heat problem.

cool tub isthe way to go for setups like that. thats what they are made for.:blsmoke:
 
if you already have the 70w hps i would either add at least another 150w in there or use cfls along with the 70w, a tip for growing in a closet - heat wont be a problem if you can leave the closet door cracked for some of the time when your light is on or if your house is generally cooler, i veg 24-0 in my 3 sq ft little broom closet with 8-26w cfls and if i dont open the door for a day the temp is sittin right at 77 when i open it and i have absolutely no ventiation, once i open the door for a few the temp goes right back down to 67
 
i'll look into the cool tubes i am currently using cfl's and they arent really doing the trick! i am already using 3 23w cfl's for each room... i only have one plant flowering under 3 cfl's and its blowing up pretty fast but the veg room has 4 sprouts in it and they arent growing as lushesly as i'd like. i dont understand! i've seen people have such great success with cfl's but when i try my girls just dont get enough of what they desire!

heres my buddies cfl grow right now. in flower 4 weeks.
