I run blue planet farmers pride with botanicare calmag and a few extras with great results....i always have to add a tad lime to my bales to bring my runoff to 6-6.3. Straight outta the bag i always get 5.6-5.7 which is too low for me...
After hauling city water and using acid to ph down I am so pleased to be done with that !

Earlier on I stated that a member on another forum had a conversation with a ProMix rep, he emphatically stated there is no need to ph water in.

I was doubtful, my well water is ~ 7.5 with ppm of 450-500 depending on the season.

But, on my last grow I quit phing @ day 30 and the rest of the grow went without issue.

And no Cal/Mag, must be lots in my water ;)

Never tested run off.

Only test ph occasionally, just for curiosity.

And only test ppm's when I reach the upper limits of recommended nutrient suggestions.

With Advanced Nutrients anything over 1000 was too much !

With Mega Crop ~900 seems to be lots, MaxiGro/Bloom still to be determined...

Cheers

Day 5 of flip to 12/12, total of 55 days.

Not much to report, they are just getting Bigger :weed:

The light is @ 14" from the top of the Amnesia Auto canopy, she seems to be okay with that.

I'm trying to minimize the stretch on the rest of the ladies.

Temp is 26.7C and rh is 49.

Amnesia Auto is on 4g/4L of Maxibloom, the two Green Cracks are on 2g of Grow and 2g of Bloom per 4 litres of water.

All the others are still on 4g/4L of Mega Crop.

Double Chocolate is now @ 34", after this picture I installed three bamboo stakes and a 22" diameter wire hoop.

The plan was to to cut back to eight main tops and train them like a Xmas wreath, he, he..

I didn't have the heart to cut back to eight so for now the two tallest branches are simply pulled down towards the center.

Going to think on that for a bit.... Maybe a wagon wheel shape

Day 6 of flower.

Looks like the Double Chocolate is going to be a full time job

Roughly twenty hours after pulling this branch fully horizontal !

Day 6 20 hrs later 1 Sept.jpg

After some thought I decided I couldn't sacrifice four perfectly healthy branches and went with my initial plan of pulling them down in a circle....

Before, can't even tell two branches were pulled over yesterday..

Day 6 Before 1 Sept.jpg

With another week + of stretch it should get interesting !

An hour later I already had to adjust some of the pull downs..

Day 6 Pulled over 1 Sept.jpg

The girls before the training, the Double Chocolate is back left..

Day 8 of 12/12, now on HPS.

Amnesia Auto, bumped her feed up to 4.5g/4L of MaxiBloom.

Day 8 Amnesia Auto 4 Sept.jpg

Lambs Bread, 4g/4L of MC.

Day 8 Lambs Bread 4 Sept.jpg

Durban Poison, also 4g/4L of MC.

Day 8 Durban Poison 4 Sept.jpg

Double Chocolate, 4.5g/4L of MC.

The hoop is turning into both a way to limit vertical growth and as a kind of scrog that can be moved around

There is now roughly 12" of growth on each top horizontally instead of vertically !

Day 8 Double Chocolate 4 Sept.jpg

Group shot.

The two Green Cracks in the front now have hoops. One of them Did Not Like being stabbed in the heart Three Times and then watered, he, he.

Her portrait will have to wait until she's more presentable !

Day 12 of flower.

RIP small Green Crack, she served her purpose !

More room for the rest of the Girls ;)

BTW > with topping and training the canopy is now ~ 33".

Except the Lambs Bread, she is @ 24" and sitting on a box !

Also the Amnesia Auto, her canopy is now @ 22".

Aside from the odd bottom leaf I have only removed branches that won't make it up to the canopy.

Temps are holding at ~ 27C, rh was up over 50% for a while but is now 46%...

I could have watered yesterday but I Made them wait three full days. None were drooping but it must have been close, he, he...

...............

Durban poison

4.5g/4L of MC. Installed three bamboo stakes, a wire hoop and pulled down her four main tops.

Double Chocolate

4.5g/4L of MC. Lower branches are now starting to populating the center of the ring.

Day 12 Double Chocolate 7 Sept.jpg

Lambs Bread

4.5g/4L of MC. She is almost a foot shorter than the rest of the girls so for now I may just pull over that one run away top !

Pictures of the Amnesia auto down below, day 68, 18 of them under 12/12 ;)

Hope to make time tomorrow to get some young bud shots of the Sativa's.

The worst (or the best depending on how you look at it) of the stretch has slowed down !

It's been a couple of days now that I haven't had to adjust any of the tie downs. The lower bud sites on the pulled down tops have now grown to the same height as their top.

Some training to do yet on the center branches which are now a few inches above the rings but managing to keep a reasonably level canopy...

The two GH MaxiGro/MaxiBloom girls are showing a few yellow leaves on the bottom.

Shoulda/woulda/coulda fed a little bit more. At least to tip burn like I usually do !

Last feed was 5g/4L of Bloom.

The MC girls are green right to the bottom, except for the odd yellow leaf, likely lack of light. But I did up the feed slowly until I saw a small amount of tip burn.

Last feed was 4.5g of MC and .75g of Bud Explosion in 4L of water.

I Must remember to take a ppm reading next feeding :eyesmoke:

FYI > These tops range from 6" to 8" long and there is still time for more packing it on lower down :weed:

Day 20 of flower. Total of 70 days.

I am so pleased with the performance of the MC And the Maxi series nutrients !

And a bit surprised I managed to sneak up on how much is enough ;)

I usually do a flush between veg and flower, just because, but Not this time....

The Green Crack and Amnesia Auto are now on 5g/4L of MaxiBloom. PPM of 700.

The rest of the girls are now on 5g MC and .75g of Bud Explosion per 4L. PPM of 950.

Day 26 update, Total of 76 !

The MaxiBloom girls are still on 5g/4L.

Green Crack seems to have Just enough, a Hint of yellow on the tips, some bottom leaves yellowing in the shade ;)

Feed will remain the same.

The Amnesia Auto is showing more yellowing on the bottom but she is also drinking less, 4L every four days.

I've decided to leave the nutrients at the same level, I don't think the yellowing will reach the top fan leaves or the sugar leaves before she is done.

And that would be just fine bongsmilie

Amnesia Auto, trained to have eight tops.

Day 26 Amnesia Auto 20 Sept.jpg

Green Crack, she was also trained to have eight tops.

Day 26 Green Crack 20 Sept.jpg

Double Chocolate, trained to have eight tops but four more were racing to the top and I didn't have the heart to trim them !

Now on 5 g MC and 1g of Bud Explosion per 4L.

Think I mentioned this before ? Three X four foot bamboo stakes and a 20" diameter bailing wire hoop at 28". Tops are pulled down onto it....

Day 26 Double Chocolate 20 Sept.jpg

Lambs Bread, trained for four tops. No hoop and no pulling down since the initial topping and training !

5g MC and 1g of BE/4L.

Day 26 Lambs Bread 20 Sept.jpg

Durban Poison, trained for four tops and pulled down onto a hoop. 5g of MC 1g of BE/4L.

Day 26 Durban Poison 20 Sept.jpg

Still being ruthless with watering.

If they feel like they are ready towards the end of their day, I wait till the next day !

Amnesia Auto, day 82.

32 days of 12/12 !

Breeders estimate is 70 - 80 days.

I am pushing the light and the top buds are starting to foxtail. Which doesn't bother me, just more Bud !

Day 33 of flower, 83 total.

Really made the girls work for their water this time, three full days.

The Double Chocolate was the only one with droopy lower leaves ;)

Amnesia auto went five days since last water. Foxtails or not I'm going to give her another week !

Green Crack and Amnesia @ 6g/4L of MaxiBloom, ppm of 900.

All the other girls @ 6g/4L of MC. Ppm of 930.

No More Bud Explosion, just don't like the look of the top sugar leaves. Reminds me of the badness when I fed BE too early last grow. A twisted canoeing kinda thingee !

Day 35, lower bud shots of the Amnesia Auto.

Starting to think I could have been more aggressive with feed on the Maxi girls.

The Amnesia's yellowing bottom leaves is progressing but at a slow rate. She is coming down in a week and it hasn't affected the buds, yet....

The Green Crack on the other hand has a couple of yellow leaves on the bottom per day. Maybe shade but I don't think so ?

She is @ 6g/4L of MaxiBloom, going to go up to 6.5g next feed and observe.

Her top sugar leaves look good but a little lower down there is a bit of a claw happening. She is almost due for water though...

The Durban Poison and Lambs Bread have not produced more than a couple of yellow leaves, right down to the bottom green as can be..

Except the Double Chocolate. She is the largest and most vigorous of the group and could use More ;)

Their feeding schedule recommends 6.35g/4L week 5 to harvest, right about now !

Day 39, so far so good :weed:

The Amnesia Auto is on her final droughting, chop in two days I think.

Half is going to a friend with a Harvest Right machine

We plan to test the dry product and also rehydrate first to ambient humidity which is currently 50% and then possibly 58% !

The increase in feed to 6.5g/4l of MaxiBloom appears to have put a stop to the slight yellowing of the bottom leaves on the Green Crack !

Durban Poison, Lambs Bread and Double Chocolate seem to have tolerated an increase to 6.5g/4l of MC but two days is a bit early to tell.

They will get fed again tomorrow, shy of three days.

So far I don't seen any issues with withholding feeding until just before they really need it.

Growth is vigorous and healthy with nicely praying leaves and no signs of deficiencies.
