    3 Months and flowering

You guys are all taking this way too seriously, nothing is at steak here. bkbbudz sees my point, I've learned from this experience and I don't need to justify myself to the likes of mr sunshine. I know the next time I attempt this on my own it'll go a lot better because I won't restrict my...

    3 Months and flowering

Alright, alright, calm yourselves. Firstly, as I said earlier, the point of this was to see what I could do in my own house under 100 bucks and maybe learn a thing or two in the process. I disagree with mr smiley there, I've learned a lot as a result of this little endeavor. Failing doesn't...

    3 Months and flowering

I think I'll try to keep it alive just for fun, (and the challenge) they're not my only plants. These are just a little experiment I tried to do, to see if I could grow a couple plants from some mystery seeds in my house for under $100. Apparently, I cant haha Thanks for not goin to hard on me...

Why is my new growth growing like this?

I agree with dannyboy, too much nitrogen. Ease off the nutes, best of luck.

    3 Months and flowering

Thanks for the quick reply, kinda rude but ok. I don't really want to start over until they're harvested or dead, do you have any useful advice as to how I might keep the bigger one alive (if you think it'll die)? Or at the very least a guess at why the leaves fell off so I know for next time?

    3 Months and flowering

Hello again everyone! :bigjoint:I posted here a few months ago about a couple of plants that were just starting up. I was concerned that one was growing significantly slower than the other. az2000 very quickly pointed out that it was just genetics which turned out to be 100% the case. Since...

    The Struggling Seedling

I actually need to buy soil as well... debating going with a soil-less mix instead. Which would be easier in terms of controlling nutrients? Last thing I wanna do is burn or starve them, and I also like to do a good flush a couple weeks before harvest which was easy with hydo but idk about soil

    The Struggling Seedling

Yeah that's what I'll do. How many do you think I'll need?

    The Struggling Seedling

I don't really wanna spend more than $100 on the whole project if that's possible. A little over should be alright. Keep in mind I still need to buy nutrients and solve my smell problem too.

    The Struggling Seedling

Yeah I know! But I favoured the cool color over the cool temperature. Everything in my house is really warm in colour. Haha I really don't understand why it's so hot I was very disappointed when I found out. How many CFLs do you think I'd need to use at once? Good to know, I'll take a look...

    The Struggling Seedling

I can't look at the moment as it's in use and very hot! I did this because of a lack of adequate lighting. I do agree however, they should most certainly be separated as soon as I find a lighting solution. Like I said in the op I'm open to suggestions

    The Struggling Seedling

Yeah, I thought about that... but I'm worried about temperature cuz unfortunately this cheap LED does give off a fair bit of heat when you reach an inch or 2 away. It's about 5w actually, 200 lumen. And it's not as cool as I'd like, I'd say probably a 2:1 but I'm not sure.

I hadn't considered that! Very interesting... Thanks, I certainly hope so too my friend ;)

Just planted the third one! Also here is a more updated pic: I've actually had to move the light away slightly because it's getting too tall...

    The Struggling Seedling

Hello everyone :bigjoint: this is my first post on the forums here and it's also my first time growing without any fancy equipment. I've grown once before many years ago, while I was amongst a group of enthusiasts such as myself. It was a fairly high-budget project that turned out rather well...
