Does a CFL bulb give off more light from the top, or will it give off more light from the sides of the bulb? i was wondering if it is adventagous to put the side bulbs by a plant horizontally or vertically. I feel like i read somewhere that they give off more light from the sides of the bulbs...

i am debating on which, or both...the purple power it doesnt say how many girl seeds for 27, and the chronic haze is 27 for 3...anybody have any experience with either or give me any input? i am looking to have the mothers then the sea of green so i can harvest every 2 weeks...

how long into the flowering stage will it take for a plant to start showing sex? i see a couple of little things scattered around the plant that look like they could be preflowers, but its too early to tell if they are male or female...how long before i will see hairs/balls on the plant?

can anybody link me to a thread saying how to clone? my stalk broke, but there are about 4 branches left, 2 of which now thriving, so i am wondering if it would be better to try and make clones with these branches rather than leave them on the main plant... i'll give some rep for the first one...

does anybody know of any strains that are known for having flatter leaves, like less bumpy, indentations, whatever...my friend has a mystery strain we are tryin to figure it out... + rep if anybody has any input

i saw a 45 dollar MH light at a hardware store that said its 300 watt equivalent...would this be sufficient lighting for 2 plants? i have heard HPS is best for vegging and MH are better for flowering, but i thought this sounded like a good deal and wondered if i could use it...anybody that can...

i am going to try and sex my plant early...its about 2.5 weeks old and almost 6 inches tall...i heard you can do this with a black trashbag...if anybody can tell me how to go about doing this i appreciate it and will give rep...im gonna post some pics of the stem and stuff and somebody tell me...

i accidently left my heater on for about 3 hours and the temp shot up to about 96 degrees...and the leaves looked like this when i came in...i think they are burned due to the heat and not nutes or nething considering that was the only factor that changed...they were harder than before...should...

alright...this isnt urgent but as im not in flowering...but i have a closet grow with the nearest window approximately 6-7 feet away from the door...if i want to filter the smell out, how the hell do i go about doing this? i mean if i shut the door then i have no place at all that i could bring...

they run about 2.50 at lowes, they are over in the section by the light switches n stuff in lil boxes...i will post pics later, havent set them up yet over plants cuz the setup is fine now, but wow these are gonna be a blessing for CFL users...go pick them up! give rep if u want :mrgreen:

the budget is between 50-100 dollars and i want to get the best possible lighting i can...one plant now but 3 more in pots waiting to sprout and possibly one or two more upon germination...any advice?
