If you are planning on growing shrooms smokey i HIGHLY suggest that you read up a bit on the life cycle of the cubensis and how to cultivate them otherwise im afraid it is hopeless lol not to be mean but you do have to know wat you are doing, and like kush said, be very sanitary. Good luck...

So, for all you expert shroom growers out there. Do you have any special techniques or tips to keep thing free of contaminations??? Do any of you use glove boxes with good results cause i wanna make one:joint::mrgreen:

hahaha no i hope not. Contaminations r the things that make shrooms poisonous, and you will know if you have them and toss that jar. if someone else knows otherwise from experience let me know but im pretty sure thats the only time they r poisonous.

Have not actually grown yet, but im confident if u do your homework and know what to do it is fairly easy. just getting to know the process seems to b the most daunting thing for people. Just read up on it and c wat u think.

i have heard that if its enough to read by u r golden. yea, they DO NOT need light to grow like phototropic plants, they just need it to spark the fruiting and tells them which way to grow. natures way of making sure that they dont fruit underneath the substrate.:joint:hope that helps

yea, i ordered from lil shop of spores(money order) but never sent the cash cuz i have heard of bad vendors so i got scared lol. Just ordered from spores101 instead. figure stick with wats known to work right

i suppose just picking them b4 they r too tall would work to?

cool, wasnt sure if they would. Its not illegal to sell spores so i dont c y not make a profit off of them. of course they had to get them from shrooms somewhere down the line :joint:

ahh ok thx for clearing that up. Is there any low temps that i should be worried about because, while im sure it will not be too cold and certainly not near freezing, i am worried that it may get chilly because i do not have the heat one all day and winters comin up

So, i am well aware that the "optimum" temperature fo shrooms is somewhere near 80-85 F. However, if i was inclined to grow the shrooms without supplying that extra heat, would they grow in temps of around say 65-75 F????or would i be wasting my time with an insufficient growing...

How tall the shrooms ever get off of the substrate??? thinkin of makin an extra small terrarium so i can keep humidity high just from the moisture from the casing. So how do u start making casings from a colonized jar of rye grain?????and keep it sterile enough?

got the spores from lil shop of spores lol, orderin was prett easy. only downside now is that i think its not gonna fit in my P.O BOX!
