    No you should be fine it wont take long for the leaves to turn toward the light, about 3 days if im not mistaken, and if you broke the stem a little i wouldn't worry about it.     Vindicated is right, diatomaceous earth is awesome! same with neem oil, try and be careful with the neem and only use it if you see spotting from spider mites or thrips. if you end up using neem follow the directions and add a SMALL amount of dish soap, it helps from dripping off the leaves...

    you want the sun to hit the lateral branches that are now facing up. The top colas will eventually start to grow upwards because of a gravitropism effect. imo you should have the top facing away from the most light because you want the side branches to get the most.

    No you wont be able to find either brands of soil at any lowes or home depot. and yes the soil you have has been used and lacks nutrients. the best thing you could do is just leave the seed alone besides for misting it. Check on it in another day or 2. dont keep opening and closing the paper...

    Get some Roots Organic soil usually will set you back $10 a bag. Its great stuff you wont need to add any nutes into your watering schedule for some time. make sure you dont over water it either, water only when the soil feels like it needs it. the number 1 thing that will get your is over watering.
