Got some newb questions for y'all.

I am using a 65k 23w clf and a 5k 19w. I'm wondering what the temp of the top soil and the surface of the leaves should be?
I'm using a temperature gun that's uses a red laser and give a digital reading. (conveniently at home)

Also what's a good brand of soil to transplant in? I currently have my 3 week old in a organic miracle grow brand soil with no perlite or anything just in a red solo cup. I don't know to much about soil nutes yet but if this makes sense I think it's 0.5/.10/0.5? (don't have rest of the dirt present). I'm thinking fox farms ocean forest if I can order it in time, a millimeter or two of root poped through the drain whole today.

Also when I transplant do I need to have some sort of root stem or hormone juice when I water it first?

ALL HELP AND TIPS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND MUCH NEEDED!!:)

If you see roots at the lower drain holes then transplant. There are many good soils. I use bio-bizz allmix. You dont need any hormone juice or rootzone. Its just a straight transplant them water it in.

Get some Roots Organic soil usually will set you back $10 a bag. Its great stuff you wont need to add any nutes into your watering schedule for some time.
make sure you dont over water it either, water only when the soil feels like it needs it. the number 1 thing that will get your is over watering.

No you wont be able to find either brands of soil at any lowes or home depot.
and yes the soil you have has been used and lacks nutrients. the best thing
you could do is just leave the seed alone besides for misting it. Check on it in
another day or 2. dont keep opening and closing the paper towel it rips the
fine root hairs. once you know its started growing go out and buy a cheap bag
of Jiffy Mix at home depot. its a great seedling starter mix. use a red cup with
holes poked in bottom and keep it in a warm room. dont give it anything but
water and not to frequently. I understand that money is hard to come by but if
you buy the bare essentials then you will be golden. Remember, its just a Weed:leaf:

Gonna check out the jiffy mix cause I found a sour d bag seed and about to get her going soon.

However currently I have a three week old baby already in a cup I'm needing to transplant it into a 3gal or so pot. Anytips for that? And if it comes down to it and I can't get organic roots or fox farm. Is there any decent ones at home depot or lowes Walmart?
