You also could have enough minerals in the soil but it might be locked out. That happened to me once. It was becuase i used baking soda to balance the pH. I flushed, thoroughly (2 gallon pot: 6 gallons water). the recovered beautifully. I used a pH leveler from hydroponics store.

This is an update. Dr vondankenstine helped me ALOT. My biggest issue was Miracle Grow potting soil. It burned the babies. And I also was relying on a faulty pH meter. I gently tipped the pots over, with one hand supporting the seedling to get it out. then crumbled most of the MG off. then...

not sure about the Organic MG, but the regular burned my babies up. You should not have ANY slow release nutes in the soil. i learned the hard way - tried to go cheap and easy. i moved them to fox Farms Ocean Forest and they are SOOOOO happy now.
