show off your lighting and camera settings

just got a new camera today and am enjoying my first pictures of my plants with the nifty lighting tricks. these pics are so much better than my cell phone so i thought i would share the results.

please feel free to show off your lighting side by sides as well...

does it have a macro setting?

i'm not really sure what macro settings on this new camera are available... it's just a kodak c813... but the difference in picture lighting and clarity under my 400w hps is just amazing to me after seeing the crappy pics from my phone...

just started some seeds and will post a journal or something for my own enjoyment with this camera, but the purpose of this post...

i am relatively new to this and was reading about adjusting the camera settings so you can take better pics under hps. when you need answers for specific plants better pictures get better help right? my cell phone wasn't doing the job so i got a $90 camera and am amazed at the results. i was just wondering and hoping to look at other folks' pics too...

just bought the same camera how do i make it look nice like that under the light??

if you hit the menu button, scroll to white balance, select tungsten, take picture.

the first pic above was using the flourescent setting in the white balance menu. the tungsten setting produced the 2nd pic.

my veg room is on... here's the plant i'm growing to clone... again different settings with same camera... just a slight difference in the pics.

now to close this thread i'll lead you to another along the same lines. it's my continous grow journal that will be updated almost every day...
