    Cooling Quantum Boards?

Two 304 boards mounted on one heatsink with a hlg-240h-c2100b. I've got two of those setup in my 2x4x5 tent.

    Cooling Quantum Boards?

My quantum boards are getting up to 45C/115F with a 6" fan on them (measured with my thermopro), and I can't seem to find any information about cooling them, or what temperatures they should be sitting at. I'm thinking of trying a 120 computer fan.

    Took some closeups with my cheap usb microscope. lm301B S0 3000k lm301B S0 3500k lm561B S0 3000k lm561B S0 3500k lm561B+ S5 3000k lm561B+ S5 3500k lm561C S5 3000k lm561C S5 3500k lm561C S6 3000k lm561C S6 3500k

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

    I've got lm561C S6s, and 5s in 3500k, and 3000k. In both spectrums the S6s don't have a visible dot while the S5s do.

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

What I'm seeing is a difference between the dot across lm561Cs. I ordered S6s, and 5s from digikey, and the dot is noticibly darker on the 5s. I'm not saying this means all 5s have a darker dot, just that mine do, and it could potentially be a sign of S5 vs a S6. Or it could be completely...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

I agree. If I got S5s I'll be content with that, I'm sure it'll grow great weed regardless, but I'll want some compensation from the sell since I paid for S6s. I don't think the phosphor powder is affecting the bin, my theory is that the visability of the dot could be an indication though. I...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

Ya, looked more into it. I was hoping I could distinguish between lm561c s6, and 5 with a multimeter, but the only way you can tell apparently is between the flux which I doubt I have the means to test. Voltage could tell me if it's not a lm561c, but it can't tell me if it is a lm561c since a...

Wait... is it literally as simple as just testing the voltage with a multimeter?

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

That's pretty much it. B is a lm561c S5 from digikey, and E is from my Alibaba board I just got. I'm pretty sure it has lm561Cs, but I can only guess the bin. To me it more resembles the S5, but I don't know if the darkness of the dot is just random across production runs, or it could...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

I my Leds, and boards today. Who wants to try, and identify everything? - I've got a usb microscope coming tomorrow so I'll be able to get some better shots of everything assuming it works.

    Backup Batteries (UPS)

Last month my power went out for about 3 hours, and if I had been growing I'd imagine my apartment would have started stinking up pretty badly so one thing I'm looking at is a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) to keep my fan/carbon filter going if/when it happens again, or any other alternative...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

Awesome. We'll need more examples to be sure, but if we can actually tell the difference between S6s, and S5s just through appearance that'll be great. This is what I'm ordering so far for loose leds. Anyone have any other leds in the lm561 series they want me to take a look at? --edit...

    New style Samsung LM561C Board

My guess is that what you're seeing is inconsistencies in the phosphor powder. The colour differences is what gives you a 3500k led vs a 3000k/4000k/5000k. Even if you have two 3500ks the LEDs are so small that the phosphor settles just a bit differently. To confirm your theory we need multiple...
