The Great Pheno Hunt - Vertical Grow

Well, I flipped to 12/12 today. I said I would start this, so here goes. Hopefully I can keep up. No rules in this thread other than if I don't like the direction it's going I might do something. Keep things nice. Feel free to post pics.

Strains: MNS Black Widow - 18x, Sannies Sugar Punch x6, Sannies Extrema x5, Sannies Mad Shack 1x, PeakseedsBC is responsible for the rest, Sweet Skunk x6, Northern Lightsx6, Kushberry (Purple Kush x Blueberry Male) 5x.

Also there's 1x CM33 freebie in there. Just curious about the critical mass.

Equipment: 2x600w bulbs, have approximately 250w for veg and another 200w of UVB bulbs (not installed yet). 8" Vortex for extraction. No AC. 5x10 Grow Tent.

Running so many varities at once from seed has been a bit problematic in feeding. I have only one res, but will have 2 going for this grow in the near future. Just handwatering in Coco. They are being fed pretty lightly as some are pretty sensitive.

These pics were from a couple days ago. You can see the more sativa leaning plants seem finicky (good news depending on how you look at it).

Gonna have to figure out how to manipulate pictures more effectively. Hopefully can more clearly label the plants. Will work on figuring that out (any help appreciated though).

New seeds arrived today. Critical Mass and NL x Haze courtesy MNS Auction. First time I used it and I got a hell of a good deal. Paid around half price (a little less actually).

Highly recommended based on my one time experience.

Nice variety multiple strains is a pain just got done with 1 had a critical mass 33 thought it was going to be pretty good but below avg yield of fluffy buds hope u have better luck I wound up crossing my Tahoe male to it hopefully it will make a decent cross . I will post a pic later can't upload pics from my I pad

Hopefully all works out.

I'm going to try to keep it updated weekly. As the girls show themselves I'll try to do some individual pics.

I topped most of these and I regret doing it. They aren't going to grow tall enough for my setup I don't think - but hey, we'll see.

Should still do ok.

Next go around will be much improved (of course).

No doubt multiple strains is a gigantic pain. You can see from my plants that one res isn't going to cut it. Some are considerably healthier looking than others. But they are all not too bad. So I can live with that this go around.

Originally I had planned to get back some clones of some plants I grew out from jan-may, but he did not have any for me. Should have some in the next couple weeks but for now they are just going to have to be moms.

Herijuana and Killingfields F3 (green/purple hybrid super frosty phenotype).

I could have gotten some Purple Kush clones or whatever, but I'm pretty tired of most of the old standbys on the island that are easy to get your hands on.

Overall though the pain is worth it. I like variety. I will be searching for any keeper males as well this run.

My genetics collection is very diverse and I have a nice collection of seeds. Granted, there are folks on here who would put mine to shame. I do eventually plan to do some chucking at the least, and hopefully actual breeding in the not that distant future.

Current library not in the ground:

All PeakseedsBC gear:
C99 - 2 packs
NL x Texada Timewarp - 1 pack
Skunk x TT - 1 Pack
Skunk x Purple Kush - 2 packs
Blueberry - 1 pack
Kush berry - half pack
More of all the seeds I've popped already too.

TGA - Vortex - 10 pack

MNS - Critical Mass and NLxHaze - I'm pretty tempted to say fuck it and throw them in water. I shouldn't though.

Mosca - C99BX and Sweet Tooth

Gage Green - Bright Moments

I've also got Phx's Tombstone seeds he sent me a while back. I have 10 of those going at another location that is not mine and I have cuts coming my way in the next month as well. A Qush 5 pack has popped in the same location. I'm less interested in those, but still have cuts available whenever.

So I did a tonne of work tonight.

Watered:

No Potassium Silicate.
250ppm calmag
300ppm Dyna Grow Bloom
50ml Rhizotonic
100ppm Liquid Karma

No pH adjustment required (watered @ 6.0).

Worth noting - all the Black Widows except for one are in half gallon pots. The Peakseeds gear is all in 1 gallon smartpots. The 7 gallon smart pots all contain either Extrema, Sugar Punch or Mad Shack. One Sugar Punch is in a 5 gallon different brand of smart pot that seems much better insulated. One Sweet Skunk (the very sativa leaf dominant) is in a 3 gallon version of that newer smart pot (I got em free as samples at my hydro shop). Figured it might be a female so I roled the dice. The bigger sweet skunks are in 1 gallon square pots. One White Widow is in a 1 gallon square. The Critical Mass 33 is in a half gallon.

Pretty much the guaranteed females are in the bigger pots, ones I hope are female are in larger pots and the CM33 is in a smaller pot because I have little faith.

I rearranged my canopy a fair bit and tossed in a new floor fan. Moved the shelf a bit and got rid of the top part as there was no need for it.

I also cleaned up all the bottoms of the plant quite thoroughly. Filled up a gallon smart pot with the excess. I'll have pics probably on Sunday. Not feeling it at the moment.

The Skunk plants are incredibly single cola dominant. They just want to grow straight up for the most part.

So I decided to take a couple pics anyway.

First up is a Skunk leaf. Just a big bastard. I can only imagine this thing outdoors in a proper climate. I bet she'd be beautiful (I'm not sure it's a she, but here's to hoping).
