KUSHIE KUSH 2nd GROW DWC PICTURES GALORE

Welcome to my second grow journal. Our first grow together was "one killer bag seed".
it sure did live up to the name of the grow !! The dried and cured weight was 90 grams, Killer Smoke.
For my first dwc grow I think that I did not too terribly bad.
For this grow I have something special.
I am growing KUSH. from seed and has been vegged for 3 months under very poor cfl lighting. The growth was very slow.
I used the wrong Kelvin of light for veg. it did grow though that is the main thing !!
It has been in flower for 26 days so far and everything is looking good.
I am still using only Advanced Nutrients, Iguana Juice Grow And Bloom and 2 x 150 watt HPS.
I am awaiting 2 x 400 watt Hps High Bay Lights That I know will be more effective. They should arrive on Monday !!

Question: is there a difference in the way the ballast operates in a HPS High Bay Light compared to a standard HPS Grow Light and ballast ? If so please explain the difference in greater detail. Thank you.

I too use Iguana juice grow/bloom and I am just starting my first dwc. I have used it in soil b4 but I was curious as to how it would do in hydro...now I know. +rep

I lightweight LST my kush. I like how you angled your lights so less shade. I'm mostly off that AN bs use a mix mosh of diff nutes and products.

This is the lineup I use:

Root Excellerator - Home and Garden
Plant Success - Plant Revolution Inc. (I think)
Foliage Pro 9-3-6 - DynaGro
Bloom 3-12-6 - DynaGro
Protekt 0-0-3 - DynaGro
Liquid Light - Dutchmaster
Penetrator - Dutchmaster
Sensizym - Advanced Nutrients
Final Flush - Advanced Nutrients

UPDATE: My lights were off for an unknown ammount of time. I checked on them at 7 tonight and the powerbar had flipped it's breaker. Good thing I checked on it. the temps were at the lowest the room will go (60) I also have a high low thermostat in the room and both temps were the same. that leads me to believe that the light was off for like 4-5hrs. I turned them back on I hope they dont herm out but that might be killer (just to have more purple kush seeds kickin around for future use).

QUESTION: Has anyone ever had the problem with lights shutting down on you short term (3-6hrs), and did it seriously affect your plant in any way (turn it hermi) ?? Please explain how it affected your plant.

I have to say that I have been very impressed by the mass ammount of roots that have developed using DWC and the Advanced Nutrients Iguana Juice !!

So far the buds are developing very nicely and looking like they are going to be hard as rocks, similar to my first grow, only this is the K !!

I don't understand how people end up with light fluffy bud while using any wattage HPS !!
It's all in how you care for your girls !!
I think that all bud can be grown to nice hard nugs with the proper care and attention !!

I get nice dense buds, definitely not fluffy, even using just one light. I guess it can vary by strain but I never had any "underdeveloped" buds from lack of light.

Have you thought of upgrading your lights to something bigger??
MORE LIGHT = MORE BUD.

I am not using any side lighting, I just use 2x 150W back to back, 400W would be a waste since my room is only 2 feet wide.

i miss understood I skimmed through your journal and i read that you use 150 hps and some cfl's for side lighting..
