I got this email from Sandra this morning.
Shorter Sandra Fluke: Wah, I want free stuff!!!
"Dear desert dude,
When Im out on the campaign trail for the President and progressive candidates for Congress, I often hear how shocked people are that in 2012 were still fighting to have affordable access to birth control, to be able to speak up for our reproductive rights without being labeled a slut, for so many battles that our parents generation thought they won.
But I often hear from my fellow Californians that theyre so glad we dont have anyone trying to take us backward here in California. I wish that were the case! This Tuesday in California, were again fighting for adequate school funding and the ability of labor to have a voice -- victories we thought we won long ago, but must defend again.
desert dude, voters like us have got to stop these efforts to turn back progress. Thats why, like you, Im proud to be a member of Courage Campaign. Courage Campaign is fighting back through its online Progressive Election Center. It's got a polling place finder and the Progressive Voter Guide, which has recommendations on all 11 California ballot propositions from 14 trusted progressive groups.
But the Election Center can only make a difference if we make sure voters know about this resource. Ive already shared it with my network of California voters, and hope you will too!
Youve probably heard a little about two important propositions on the ballot this year:
Check out the Progressive Election Center, get up to speed on all the issues on California's ballot, and please, share it with every voter you know!
Yours in the fight for California's future,
Sandra Fluke

Youve probably heard a little about two important propositions on the ballot this year:
- Vote YES on 30!: Prop. 30 helps ensure that every child in our communities receives a quality education by funding our public schools, but theres a well-funded campaign to defeat it.
- Vote NO on 32!: Prop. 32 is crafted to look like campaign finance reform, but actually shuts the voices of workers out of the political process, instead giving even greater influence to corporations.
Check out the Progressive Election Center, get up to speed on all the issues on California's ballot, and please, share it with every voter you know!
