My first indoor grow with CFL's

gunna exploded now bro the first week ull see more growth than 2-3 weeks under a CFL..looks real good tho man just watch ur temps now im sure u got it handled tho sound like u did ur research
cheers Dutch, I'm like a kid counting down till xmas, lol, if i work forward I rekon they should be properly dried and cured by then  temps running at 38 at top of tent and around 22-25 at top of pots, they seem to be drinking a lot more since the HPS went in, guess its a mixture of heat and them having a growth spurt, I've been lurking on this forum for a good year or so before I joined and have used the search function well.

You should always have a fan...they aren't just for heat..they are to give the plants thick stems able to hold themselves up...the plants need a little resistance to get strong.
ordered a fan a couple of days ago so should be here early next week, the stems seem pretty robust so hopefully should be ok, fingers crossed.

Glad to see you ditched the CFLs...they aren't really very good.
I reckon all the systems we all use have there plus and minus points, cfl's were handy for me as they didn't give off as much of a heat trace as MH or HPS, and the 3 that were directly under it went pretty well, I reckon a smaller tent with a few autos will be the next test for a full cfl grow, main issue I found was not with the cfl's but the fact I used what I had to fill the pots, had enough clay pebbles to fill 4, and enough coco coir to fill 5, the 5 in coir have grown so much better than the 4 in pebbles, and I switched them around every so often, next grow will be either all in coir or plagron, which I've heard some good reports about.

my target on this grow is 6oz, that'll be enough to keep me going till the next grow is ready, I hope

1 off each would be nice, 2 would be superb, It's pretty much the same setup as a mate had, same seeds, but he let his get too tall before flowering so he had to bend em in half, he only got 8oz so if I beat that it'll be a bonus

your not far wrong, seems to be no discount for large buys anymore, I used to pay £150 oz, £85 1/2 oz, £50 1/4 oz, £30 1/8 oz, all seems to be £10 a gram everywhere, whether you want a g or oz, some include the weight of the baggy with your purchase, I'm buying weed mofo's, not bloody pick'n'mix  price is also dependant on how skint the dealer is as well, car needs work for mot, bump up price, need a new laptop, bump up price etc, looking forward to the savings I'll make when this lot is finished

My first CFL grow.
Setup,
1.2x1.2x2m tent
2x300w 6400k cfl
Wilma 9 pot system auto watering
Extractor via smell stopper and carbon filter
4 pots clay pebbles, 5 pots canna coco
9 dutch house dutch cheese

Following germination via cotton sheet, transplant to peat plugs, then transfer to pots.
Days 1-7 lights 24hr, water only 3 times per 24hrs (8 hr spacing) for 10mins
Days 8-14 lights 18/6, canna a+b 3 times per 24hrs (8 hr spacing) for 10mins (plants werevery light in colour due to overwatering)
Days 15-35 (today) lights 18/6, canna a+b once per 48 hrs for 15mins

The middle 3 due to being directly under the lights are obviously doing better than the outer 6, next grow I’ll prob switch to 4x250w cfl’s in 2 reflectors for better coverage. I’m due a nutes change today soI’ll shift the middle 3 to the rear, the rear 3 to the middle for a bit, then switch the front 3 with the middle 3 to try to even the growth a little bit.
Temp is approx 30 at the top of the tent and around 22 at the top of the pots.
PH checked daily and seems to be holding between 5.7-6.0.
Nutes drained and replaced every 14 days, I know I should be doing it at least every 7 but the downside of the Wilma system is it needs 30lt just to cover the pump filter, so I put 40lt in and after 14days its down to about 30lt, I will address this issue before the next grow, probably by blocking all but the lowest drainpoint and using a container for the water/nutes to drain into, thus reducing the level required meaning it can be changed every 7 days without throwing away a lot water/nutes.

All in all I’m quite chuffed as this is my first indoor/cfl grow. photo was taken last night.

I’ve no idea when to switch my lights to the red 2400k though, different people tell me different things, and can’t work out what to do with the canna pk 13/14, so a bit more searching on this site is required, still got a lot to learn. Any help/hints/tips etc greatfully received
thanks for reading.
