this lady (a lawmaker in az) pointed a loaded handgun with no safety at a reporter's chest.

first rule of gun safety: never point a gun at anything, loaded or not, safety or no, unless you intend to destroy it.

and always assume the gun is loaded.

this lady claims no one was ever in danger as her "hand" was not on the trigger. because i know i like to squeeze a trigger with my hand, not my finger :dunce:

her actions would qualify her for any number of criminal charges. i hope the reporter pursues them.

you can advocate for gun rights all day long and i will not give two shits. but make a mockery of gun safety rules like this dumbass did, and you have rightfully earned my full scorn and derision.

please join me in chiding this dumb bitch for her reckless actions and incompetence.

WTF that broad is one irresponsible gun owner...You NEVER do shit like that...
exactly. she gives responsible gun owners everywhere a bad name. and she is a top advocate in her state for gun rights

and to clarify, i got it wrong. first rule of gun safety is: always assume it is loaded. not pointing at something unless you intend to destroy it is #2.

yea thats down right unsafe. no matter how much advanced training you have they're called accidents for a reason. im all for guns but only in the hands of responsible people, this was far from responsible.

I used to teach Hunter's Safety years ago. I would have bitch slapped her with the gun.

What the fuck is wrong with AZ? The influx of transplants that bring in their baggage of racism and discrimination. I cannot believe how much AZ has changed over the last 15 years. New Mexicans just sit and shake their heads in disbelief. So much stupidity and fear mongering.

Wouldn't it have been cool as hell if the reporter was some martial arts expert and shove that gun down her throat for endangering him?

You see the proper course of action would have been for the lady with the gun to be taken out the moment she drew her weapon,

pointing your weapon or not, open carry and concealed carry people dont draw to show off, dont draw to even show anyone, because the moment you draw you have threatened lives.

I concealed carry 24/7 my gun protects me and everyone around me, im sorry but you point a gun at someone in my presence i will shoot you in the face. and thats just the way it is.

there are no gun accidents, pulling a trigger is a concious decision, handling a gun at all is a concious decision. when it comes to cars and guns its not an accidents its a mistake.

lol yea i guess a 700 will go off at a bump, but its bolt action so loading a round is a pretty conscious task.

I would not aim for fun, and intimidation, and shoot to wound.
I know if i ever pointed a gun at someone, it would be to kill. I aim to kill and shoot to kill.

i was taught not only in the police academy but in every self-defense class ever taken that center mass is the target. Having been in a situation involving firearms i can say that one will be lucky to hit center mass in a fast and violent confrontation. My goal is to cease the threatening actions of my assailant.
