Full Moon Scrog +

Hello All, and welcome to My Very first Sativa Strain Grow journal!

I will be using Feminized Full Moon seed, from Nirvana Shop. All of my seeds so far have come from Nirvana, and I have been very pleased with the quality of both the weed and also their customer service!

I started off by mixing Black Gold Organic potting mix with some PH balanced water, just enough to moisten the soil. I then filled a small 4 inch square black pot with the soil, and planted the Feminized Full Moon seed about 1/4 inch deep in the soil. At this time I was using a 4 foot 4 bulb T5 Florescent light fixture, set up in my closet. At that same time I also planted 1x Super Skunk, 1x Papaya, and 1x White Widow, all Feminized.
Two days later she sprouted up out of the soil and showed me her cotyledon (seed leaves). I kept her about 4-6 inches away from the bulbs, and turned her everyday. I only watered with plain PH balanced water for the first two weeks, and I only watered when the top of the soil dried out. I have to wait between waterings for the soil to dry out a bit, if I over water even just a little I get Gnats, and they never go away! And right now I do not have any, "Knock Knock" (i just knocked on my wooden desk). lol At this time the plants were doing very well, so I transplanted then into a 1 gallon pot, and I fimmed them as well
I got a warning about a visitor coming to inspect the house, so I had to take down all of my equipment. I had no choice but to put the two week old seedling in a cardboard box , and hide it in the attic. It took 6 days before the inspector finally came, as soon as he left I opened the box, and to my surprise all of the 4 plants were fine. When I re-set up my equipment I decided to put the two week old plant under a 400 watt MH conversion lamp instead of the T5. For the first few days I kept the bulb over 4 feet from the tops of the plants, so they could get used to the intensity of the light to prevent them from getting burnt. It did not work! They all got burnt a little, but as you can see in the pic, they all have fully recovered. They are three weeks old today!
The Fim I did on all the plants worked on three out of 4 of them, It worked especially well on the White Widow, which is very good for me because it was my only seed and I plan on making her a mother plant! I plan on transplanting them today, in a 3 gallon pot, but this time I'm trying something different. I will be using Fox Farm's Ocean Forrest soil instead of the Black Gold. This will be my first, and maybe my last time using it. It was $6 more per bag, compared to Black Gold, and if you do the math it works out way cheaper just to Buy vegg nutes!
I'll up load some pics and I be back every Friday to update, If you have any comments, questions or pics you want to show me Please feel free! Also if you click on the pic in the bottom right will tell you what plant is in the pic!

I also had a problem with gnats when I was over watering. Now I wait until the pots are light (basically no water, maybe a touch down low). After a few week the roots are spread down enough that the pots dry out within a day or two. Can't wait to see how these come along. What size are your pots and do you plan to transplant them or will they stay in them for their whole lives?

They are in 1 gallon pots right now. Tomorrow I will transplant them into 3 gallon pots, and they will spend the rest of there lives in there. I do the same thing when watering, and it has worked well so far(I still keep my fingers crossed)!

This Is also my first grow with my new German shepherd puppy, She just turned 4 months old today! I left my closet door open today just for a few min and she tore up almost a whole bag of soil! When I opened my room door i saw soil spread evenly throughout my entire bed room! Needless to say I was pissed, and my vacuum had to work over time.Of course I just had vacuumed a few days ago! lol The other day too, lol I was giving Aurora (thats my puppies name, My fav strain) a bath and I forgot about having the MH light on! When I was all done I thought about it seconds before she decided to shake off! I got a towel over her just in time! lol

Yes, I''ll give updates on the White Widow in this journal as well! I planted 4 seeds 4 different strains at the same time, the white widow is the biggest most bushiest plant in the bunch! It took real well to fimming too.

Nice save one the bulb Wolf. My cat, Buddha, loves to chew the corners of the soil bags so sometimes I'll pick them up and spread it myself without realizing it. Luckily he doesn't like the taste of my girls so I don't need to worry about him eating them like my last cat would. I would leave the room and my last cat would shred a branch by the time I got back.

I transplanted last night from 1 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots. I also put the screen over the Full Moon, as you can see in the pics. I did use Fox Farm's Ocean Forrest potting soil for the transplant, so I will not be using any vegg nutes this time (unless I see that she needs some).. I kept the Full Moon by herself under the 400 watt MH light, and I moved the other 3 plants (Papaya, Super Skunk, & White widow) to my closet under mt 4 foot 4 bulb T5 Fluorescent light. I need to get a set of back up T5 bulbs, one out of the 4 bulbs burnt out or broke when I packed it away. All my vegging plants are under 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark.
All the plants are doing well, I will be able to cut some clones soon. My goal is to buy a Fan and air filter, system before winter! Most likely I'll get it at HTG, I've had good luck with all of there equipment so far, and every time I go there I get another free T-shirt! I'll update again on Friday! PEACE!:blsmoke:
