have you grown in a soil medium and if so which would u say gives the best or greater yeild....

i did soil my first 6 or 7 grows.. i have to say i got much better results with the hydro set up.. they seemed to veg a lot quicker.. buds seemed much more dense... resin production seemed way up.. it could just be that i am getting better and better with each grow.. but i had a few set backs this grow, which lead me to believe the main factor was the hydro and not my skill..

how long did you let your SLH go for?

i vegged them for about 4 weeks and flowered for 9.. i think i could have let them flower a little longer.. but am VERY happy with what i ended up with..

thanks for the reply... mine is very bushy because i lst'd from a very early age and has close to 20 tops... been flowering for just over two weeks and it seems i will have a great yield due to the number of buds alone. hopefully... what would you say the average weight of your slh buds were? sorry im bein a pain in the ass... i have seen a couple photos of slh plants that have pruduced a fair amount but the buds were not very large. just tons of the little fuckers. did your prodcue nice colas?

the colas were nice and fat and large... if i hadnt tied the top down the top cola itself would have been about 18" long... as far as average weight, with the little and big buds averaged out, i'd say 2 to 3 grams per bud.. even the small ones were nice sized.. big enough that the slh had the fewest buds on my "to small to hang up, so i dry them on this screen" screen... the cola that i ended up getting weighs 14 grams dry, and its only about 5 or 6 inches long..

That is great to know, i will probably not get quite as large amount off mine as you did. just a little rubbermaid grow so hopefully i will still get a good amount, the buds ahve been takin off the past couple days. i am using cfls so my growth is a little slower. right now my cola for the main stem is growing 1/4 inch per day. maybe ill try to get a picture up so you can see what im workin with

ok one more question, and again im sorry for askin so many, at what point did your vertical growth stop. i ahve heard alot of people say that their plants will stop vertical growth 2-3 weeks before finishing. was this the case as well with the super lemon haze? thanks again for the info!

id say that it was about 2 to 3 weeks of stretch for sure.. i know i had to adjust the ties many times over the first couple weeks.. but all the stretch ends up being filled in by nice big buds!

the stretching does open up a ton of room for buds to form.. but i dont want you to get the impression that from node to node will be flowers... towards the top it will.. but unless you got a goodly amount of cfls all the way around to give great lighting all over you will more than likely have empty spots.. the best thing to do is try to keep the plant low with some training so you can keep them lights closer to the entire plant and increase bud growth all over...

but i hope you are experiencing a nice burst of growth... its always fun to watch flower double in size "over night".. sometimes time goes a lot faster than that and over night is really a week or two.. regardless i hope you get some nice fat buds!

yeah here is a couple pics of my little girl. i tied her down quite early. i figured the buds would be kinda small and like little puffs on the ends of the branches, it is sativa dominant after all

i like the top view... i took her out of her box for these pics...i dont like moving her cuz i usually knock the tops against the box and everyone knows bruised buds are crappy buds... oh and for proportion purposes... cant find my ruler... the main cola that i supplied a solo pic of is about 3.5 inches tall from the bottom to top. i hope you dont mind my posting pics in your thread. -peace

lol alot longer than that... only been flowering for about 3 weeks... i got about 7 or so to go.... hopefully it only goes for about 9 weeks but im thinking it will probably go for 10. the height growth is slowing a little so i think my burst has ended for now... its about time to water so that may have something to do with the slower growth. now im only goin at about 1/8 inch per day. thanks alot for all the input! i think LST may have been the best idea anyone has ever had for growin weed...

burst seem to occur more post watering... the first few days after soil watering seems to provide the most growth.. thats why i enjoy soil so much... its constant crazy growth!

LST is great.. i personal love to super crop the fuck out of my girls... the great thing about growing is there is so many options and ways to fit every grower!

1, 2, 3, and the last are bc bud depot blueberry - didnt get as fruity as i wanted.. but huge ass buds.. and good smoke for sure...

4 is green house super lemon haze - definite lemon/lime taste and smell..very happy uplifiting smoke

and 5 and 6 are matanuska tundra - a very chocolaty taste.. the more it cures the more it is coming out....
