SOIL Ph QUESTION,

OK so what Ph should my solutions be at before i add it to the soil????????

ive seen to many diffrent answers
people have said Ph 5.8/6.0/6.2 and 6.5 so thers 4 diffrent answers ive had,
im currently goin on Ph 6 and i dont think my plants are liking it much

I use baking soda to bring my ph up after I add nutes to my water. I just sprinkle some in shake it around and test again. If its still low I add some more. I've never had to but I read that lemon juice can lower your ph in the same way.

Edit because I'm and idiot and type raise when I mean lower lol.

So 6.5 sounds about averige, im out ov ph down and cant be arsed paying 12pound (with delivery) for it.
What can i replace my ph down with

The nutrients I add to my water brings it down to around that number and nothing bad so far

Yeah vinegar and lemon or lime juice works.

Here is my suggestion, it probably won't be popular, but here it is. I would use the tap water you have and grow using it to see what kind of results you get. If your plants are growing fine then I'd stick with it. I like to keep things simple, if I get the results I want without having to mix a bunch of chemicals to match something that is supposed to be optimal, then I'm fine with it. It's not a perfect world and plants are adaptable. Some people are perfectionists and wouldn't think of doing it any other way than optimal, but I try to do things the easy way first and then go from there. I'm not trying to start a disagreement on what is better, everyone grows their own way and if you get the results you are after that is all that matters, I get the results I'm after with tap water, maybe I'm blessed with the perfect water, maybe not, it just works for me and I stick with it.

YEA BUT MY TAP WATER IS PH 7.4 ITS 6.8 WITH NUTES,, ILL JUST GO ON 6.5 I THINK SOUNDS GOOD,
