Roots yellow, then dark yellow, now browN!? But plant looking eggcellent.

Hey,

My plant roots are looking really unhealthy, a dark brown color has invaded every part of the root. But the plants look healthy as hell. Is this algae? Or is this just fertilizer?

I have already tried a low dosage of hydrogen peroxide.

A bit more information may be needed to diagnose... I'll help the best I can, but I'm new... learning quick though.

I will start by saying that my roots are very dark brown but it's due to the Botanicare nutes, namely Liquid Karma... the shtuff is like motor oil, literally.
If you're using organic nutes, do not use hydrogen peroxide.

Then again, if you are using non-organic nutes, then it could be algae. And if it is, the plants will not look healthy for long.

Fill us in a bit on your setup, and what not.

i use botanicare as well. i asked around about the brown roots in fear of rot and its just a side effect of the liquid karma. so yea if your using an organic nute solution i would say your fine. but if not look for things that may be contributing to a bad situation. is your resevoir light tight? is it a solid dark color? and how often are you changing out nutes? how about the water temp? these are the main things i have checked countless times to make sure. also when you change your nutes i bathe my roots in ph'd water, so you could try that. just some friendly ideas that might help.

mmkay you can try a couple things, but this is what i hear works well for that, H2O2. Then i tried ZHO and all i can say is I LOVE ZHO, It also increased my root size by 25% my plant is growing pretty quickly now. Also made my roots really white. IT is amazing
